Music Neighbors

Music Neighbors is a non-profit promoting new artists in the Nashville area and they did a session with Emma Dilemma's full band! Check it out and give their page a like for more great new music!

"Soul Searcher" from Emma Dilemma's Album "So Becoming" is such a beautiful song both sonically and lyrically. We love how the softer tones and the layering of each instrument (including an accordion) accumulates into a warm progression.

We had an amazing time filming this live music performance in an intimate living room.

Special thanks to Rob Stewart from Teal Audio Labs for running the live sound, mixing, and producing the audio for this live music video.

Ithaca Underground

Ithaca Underground is a longrunning not-for-profit dedicated to organizing shows for a host of local and touring bands in and around the city of Ithaca. They host over sixty shows a year, including December’s all-day festival Big Day In and one of the most lively stages at Ithaca’s annual Ithaca Festival.
As a not-for-profit run entirely by volunteers, IU depends largely on individual donations to make these events happen. Their efforts greatly benefit the community and the artists that visit us.

We’re excited to announce that Urgency! Records can now provide our current and future artists with album art, poster art and loads of other forms of graphic design services as we are now partnered with Anthony Grasso of Visceral Art and Design.
Anthony is an incredibly talented artist with a diverse portfolio of work in numerous mediums. He has designed cover art and merchandise designs for touring bands such as Florence and Normandie and Woolbright, and can often be found painting live along with the former as they play. He also designed the logo our label has been using the past couple months.
And by partnering with his design company, we can now provide logos, album art, lyric sheets, promo and poster design and lots, lots more to our current and future artists.

happy album release-eve.

So its almost here- our first record. Marcus Burch's folk album Smog comes out tomorrow night, and those of you who have been kind enough to check out our site and pre-order will see what we’ve been cooking up here.
It’s been a pretty crazy process, with obstacles taking the form of everything from turbulent work schedules to faulty equipment (I’m lookin’ at you, headphones with suicidal drivers). Yet here we are and, save any trouble that Bandcamp or DistroKid might have in the next 48 hours, we’ll be delivering these tracks on time and with just the right amount of love baked into them, like Grandma’s cookies…unless Grandma’s vegan or on a gluten-free kick or something. Trendy, trendy Grandma.
We’re already speeding onto our next project here, but its been a blast working on making these amazing songs just that much closer to perfect. Please give it a listen (free to do so!) and spread the word if you would. Marcus has some amazing tunes (not just on this album) and I really think you’ll see that they’re some of the warmest, most intricate folk tracks you’ll find around.
