I have been thinking I need to be doing more structured stuff with the kids. I have fallen a bit into the cbeebies/movies trap over christmas.

What home activities do you do with your children after school/at the weekends?

I love playing with sidewalk chalk! What is better than the BIGGEST chalkboard ever - my driveway!!! A piece of chalk and a driveway provide hours of entertainment and now I know how to make DIY sidewalk chalk!

We've been keeping this under wraps but it'll be even more worthwhile tuning into BBC Autumnwatch this Friday at 8pm ...

Earlier this month Sophie Darlington was based at Castle Espie to film an Autumn Beauty Wildlife piece featuring the beauty of the Brent Geese on Strangford Lough.

"Sophie has filmed all over the world but there’s something about the autumn light of Northern Ireland that she finds particularly inspiring: “It’s limpid and glorious. Magical.”

We now believe it should go out on Friday from 8pm on BBC Two and are very excited to share the beauty of our wee corner of Strangford Lough!

I'm thinking about changing the cover photo on the page more frequently. This is Murlough National Nature Reserve - National Trust one of my favourite places to get some fresh air on a sunny/windy day. But it was taken in The spring.
