The talent is incredible. 🌲 If you missed this concert you can see them in Boise Dec. 5 at the @morrisoncenter! Dec. 7-9 in Logan, UT and Dec 16 in Mesa, Arizona. Hopefully they'll come back to Idaho Falls next year! 🌲 The VIP pass is such a fun and unique experience. Tell me how many places out of the three you have visited! 🌲 At @harriman_state_park_of_idaho you can go hiking on trails (bring bear spray), horseback riding with @dryridgeoutfitters.atharriman, snowshoeing in winter, and stay in one of their yurts. 🌲 At Johnny Sack's Cabin you can tour the cabin if it is open and admire the view of the springs from the dock and bridge. 🌲 There are many places along Big Springs to visit. This reel shows Big Springs at the Boating Launch. You can float Big Springs in the warmer months. You start here and get out at the docks by @cafesabor and @springhillsuitesislandpark at Mack's Inn. You'll need someone to drive you to the boat launch and to the end point to pick you up. They also have rentals for canoes, kayaks, etc. It takes 2-3 hours to float; consider bringing snacks or lunch. It's a peaceful float but be sure to stay away from any moose or other wildlife you may see on the way. There is also an ATV trail that goes across the bridge at the boat launch which is a lot of fun. Any places I missed that you love to visit in Island Park? Here you can go on many different hikes, play disc golf, or just have a picnic. We stopped here on our way from Twin Falls back to East Idaho to stretch our legs and have lunch. This is a nice place for camping and doing all the fun activities! We took the path for fishermen and it only took a couple minutes to see the view of the water. To the left of the fisherman path there is a hiking trail to see a higher view of the water or do more disc golf. There are many different hiking trails to choose that have excellent views. Listen and watch for rattlesnakes. My favorite part of the kids shows is how relaxed you can be in the movie theatre. There are a bunch of kids having a good time and no one is worried about kids not having the best movie etiquette. Did you know this hike is right by the Blackfoot rest area off the freeway? Heading south from Idaho Falls on I-15 you take the Blackfoot Rest Area exit (North Blackfoot - Southbound Rest Area). You’ll see a rest area building and take the concrete path to the right. You’ll find the map of Hell’s Half Acre and be on your way!It took us 50 minutes to do the loop but that’s with many breaks and taking time to explore the different areas. It’s less than a mile long and there are many benches and tables along the way. Consider taking a picnic if you go on a nice day! The loop is completely paved so this trail is stroller and wheelchair accessible! Be aware of your surroundings. There have been reports of rattlesnakes in the area but we have never seen any while on the trail.
