We have a competition - Free to enter and you can help us to help more people who may be struggling along the way!

Some stats of why we do the podcast!
1 in 4 people will experience a Mental Health problem of some kind in England this year.
More than 1 in 7 UK adults say their mental health is currently either bad, or the worst it's ever been.
Su***de is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35 and the biggest killer of men under the age of 50.
Women between the ages of 16 and 24 are almost three times as likely (26%) to experience a common mental health issue as males of the same age (9%).

To enter this competition and help us to help more people with our expert guests:
Like our page.
Invite your friends (we need to be reaching more people)
Tag 3 people please - the more names tagged, the more likely we are going to help reduce some of the above statistics.

Why doing this podcast means so much to me!

Receiving messages all the time from people, some of which are friends, really does hit home!

This message was from someone I don’t know, who’s son I don’t know but wanted to reach out to us to tell us how she felt.

In a world where we are having less personal and human interactions the idea of someone even sending a message like this to a stranger is important in us making the positive changes.

I couldn’t be prouder or more grateful of my friends for stepping up when I needed them so go and be that person today and check in with someone 💚

The new Friday night for me!

Me and Shaun Baker new podcast host of The Everyman Podcast have challenged ourselves to try a load of new things that we haven’t done or have a bit of fear around!

All different to going out and waking up tomorrow feeling crap!

All about challenging our mindsets and pushing outside of comfort zones!

Neither of us made it to the top, Shaun due to a bit of fear and me because my arms were as strong as wet spaghetti!

Onto next week where we try Brazilian Jiu jitsu - never done it but another challenge to ✅ off

Olympics here I come! 💪

Two weeks of consistency, no alcohol, decent diet and moving and I’ve taken 10 mins off a run I could barely get my lazy arse around!

Started too slow to get sub 50 mins but two weeks time you’ll all be super excited to see that number will start with a 4.

Two weeks ago I hadn’t exercised in weeks, had spent the best part of 3 weeks in bed with flu, was in my own head about life and couldn’t think of anything worse than running.

There’s no secret sauce to how I’ve changed where I’m at today.

Get outside as much as I can - walks have been just as beneficial as running.
No alcohol!!
Reading, feed my brain with new ideas, inspiration and knowledge from people a lot smarter than myself
Speaking to people, opening up to my friends and hearing their advice
Above all, holding myself accountable for how I feel - are my actions ultimately making me feel positive

I hope you all have a great weekend whatever you are doing!

I am on daddy duties 🧠💚❤️

Tonight we are super excited to get the incredible Nathan Jones back on the pod as he helps to carry on the conversation from last weeks episode all around addiction & the amazing work he does.

We wanted to share what our next month looks like for guests too:

We have Yasmin Alicia Allison joining the pod on the 22nd April to share some of her story and experiences whilst also giving you all an introduction to who she is. There have been some really challenging times recently for Yasmin and her partner Ben with a moment none of us think would happen to us. Yasmin is also going to be supporting the podcast as a co-host from time to time also as we explore more women's health too.

We then have the hugely positive & inspiring Ang Todd joining us to talk all things happiness. Ang is an expert in the subject where we can't wait to learn how we can live a happier life by starting with ourselves. Ang is a mindset transformation coach working with people to craft a balanced life. We welcome Ang on the 29th April at 7pm.

On the 6th of May we welcome Dan van den Hoek a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology at Deakin University. Dan will be joining us at 4am Aus time so we are extremely grateful to be able to discuss the power of movement and all of the benefits of being active, routine & mindset.

The 13th of May we welcome Michelle Minnikin the Psychologist, Coach & author of "Good Girls Deprogramming" to discuss how girls are taught from a young age "how to be a good girl" by the patriarchy whilst exploring how that can be deprogrammed, how men can support to change this along with how men are conditioned to be "MEN" and the impact that has on men's health. Not one to be missed!

As you can see, we have a hugely exciting few weeks coming up & would appreciate if you recommended The Everyman Podcast to even one person. It may just change their life.

So last night I thought it would be a good idea to run and here is the footage from it!

It wasn’t about pace as I’m not fit enough at the moment to push for a time as I build back up but really pleased I could win the battle where my brain was saying quit and I can’t do it by pushing through with positive thoughts!

Watch below to see a 31 year old really struggle running 22.5km 😂

Once lost in shadows, deep and wide,

A man adrift, with nowhere to hide.

Alone he wandered, heart full of pain,

Searching for solace, but finding only rain.

But then he found it, deep within,

A love for himself, where hope did begin.

With newfound strength, he faced the night,

No longer cowering from the fight.

In the mirror's gaze, he found his way,

Embracing flaws, come what may.

No longer lost, no longer alone,

In self-love's embrace, he found his home.

Through trials faced and battles won,

His self-love endured, like the morning sun.

For in his heart, he found his worth,

A treasure unearthed upon the earth.

So let his story be a testament,

To the power of self-love's ascent.

For even in the darkest hour's strife,

Love for oneself is the essence of life.
