the making of a new violin concerto..... Composer Ciaran Hope is creating a new violin concerto called the Hope Concerto for Irish violinist Cora Venus Lunny.
Along the way, they are blogging, tweeting, video blogging and generally documenting as much of the creative process as possible to ultimately writing a book and making a documentary film about the journey. It is a close collaboration as has so often been the case with a lot of the great violin concertos. The new concerto, is being written to pair alongside the great Beethoven violin concerto in D major both in concert and in recording.
