Our beloved Paul Hunter will take you on the trail.

Nancy Takacs's poem, "Dearest Water,' a Pushcart Prize winning poem, will appear in Pushcart's 2020 anthology. Bravo, Nancy. I told Nancy, one time, that receiving poems from her was like receiving a bouquet of flowers. Her poems found frequent places in Clover. She came to us by way of David Lee, so thank you, Mr. Lee.

Clover, A Literary Rag Rag, AKA Norman Green and me, and the Independent Writers' Studio Press are delighted with Nancy's award. If you have Volume 15, of Clover, A Literary Rag, look on pages 126-127 for Nancy's poem. If you don't have volume 15, why not?

Clover is no longer publishing, but this award leaves a legacy of fine works by wonderful poets and storytellers. Bless you all. AND if you are interested in buying Clover, A Literary Rag we have back issues. Village Books has volume 16. Again, Nancy, congratulations on your Pushcart prize.

An UPDATE on John James Reid.
Photo is of Maureen Reid, John's mother. An amazing story about an incredible woman. She raised John and his 9 brothers and sisters during the Irish Troubles -- in Belfast. His father died in the conflict. Read on! And don't miss John's event at Village Books this Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7PM featuring his new book, Mid-Atlantic. There is nothing like an Irish poet!

Dear Friends of Clover and IWS,

If you have your submissions into CLOVER, A Literary Rag, thank-you. We are reading now, and our reports will go out in a week or so. Submissions are at all time high and climbing --more than twice as many submissions as last time.

Wednesday evening Norman Green and I will be honored to receive a mayor's award in regard to CLOVER. We promise the shortest acceptance speeches, ever.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support of the Rag from the 'Ham. It is your great work and words that have put us into such a lofty state of affairs.

Norman and I are grateful to you and we wish you a good writing day, clear skies, and, as always, we will do our best to keep the lights on!

In Gratitude,
Mary
