On the 1st of August 2018 thousands of women embarked on protest action across South Africa to protest the scourge of gender-based violence. Women from all walks of life used the start of the country’s Women’s Month to demonstrate their frustration and anger at the increasing levels of gender-based violence in South Africa.
The protests come shortly after Stats SA revealed in June 2018 that the murder rate for women increased by 117 per cent between 2015 and 2016/17.

It's a serious condition that gets worse over time, but there are treatments to help manage the symptoms. From being hooked to drugs and forced into prostitution, Griselda changed her life around and now travels the world fighting human trafficking and helping young women get out of the s*x slave industry.

The tumour expanded so much that she had to remove her womb, a very difficult decision for her as she had hopes of having more children, the shame of not having a womb and feeling less of a woman and how she got her power back ❤️

The commentary can be about a person's size, age, hair. clothes or level of perceived attractiveness. Body shaming can lead to mental health issues including eating disorders, depression, anxiety and low self esteem.

The Power of Starting Now

In 2018 Afro bae products founder, Yolanda Mbolompo left her full time job in Mpumalanga, moved to a new City with only her dream and Vision guiding her. Three years later she has over 300 distributors for her products, made her first Million rands and is looking to expand her brand and company to be more reachable to young black Women.
