My wife asked for a small shelf with some coat hooks for the mud room. This is the result. It’s live edge black cherry and is mounted with a French cleat. I cannibalized an old coat rack for the hooks.

I just finished this restoration/remake of a client’s bench. It was in rough shape when I picked it up. The back was split in two and had been “repaired” several times with nails and glue. The legs were falling apart and everything was cracked and warped.
I built a box bench for the structure and reused the seat and back. After repairing it and filling the cracks and knots with black ca glue I had to flatten the back of the carving and the underside of the seat.
Originally the client wanted to use a grey stain but I sent them some pictures and suggested black. So glad they agreed.
New TP holder to replace the cheap POS one that broke.
Made from Red Oak with a Black Walnut wedge in the ends of the holder rod.

New countertop for the laundry room. I started this project a while ago and finally finished it. If I find pictures from the glue up or earlier I’ll update the post.
This is a cherry butcherblock style glue up with some epoxy fills in the knots and bug holes.

I made this cool roll up chessboard and some epoxy chess pieces. It’s a prototype and there were some issues yet to be corrected. Looking forward to version 2.0.

My wife and I got an old barn beam some years ago to make an accent piece for this really tall wall in the living room. Well life happened and it was neglected until now. I mounted it with a French cleat. The three stars are touch switches for lighting on the bottom.
