All the plants from I-10 to 29 Palms on California Highway 62

Using our unique vision of Morongo Valley residents, Desert Sun columnist and author of Palm Springs-Style Gardening, Maureen Gilmer, and photo editor, Lisa Thackaberry, created HWY62flora. With powerful literary and photographic archives, we hope to create a virtual experience sequenced by what comes into bloom here. We go beyond mere photos for an holistic view, not just a scientific one. Discover our vision with history, art, botany, horticulture, ecology and pop culture to make sure you get it all. We’ll keep going this way until the quarantine lifts or we run out of plants!
