Devotional

The Father didn´t just say He loves you; He proved it by giving His Son as a sacrifice for sin. Those who haven´t trusted in the Savior can go through life oblivious to the blessing of His unconditional care. But what a waste it would be to live as though unloved when God´s infinite, eternal love is offered to you.

Romans 1:28-31 📖 God hates gossip. He wants our speech to be pleasing to Him—and He certainly does not consider idle talk or mean-spirited words pleasant (Col. 3:8). Sadly, gossip is practiced so freely that even some believers participate and try to justify their chatter. But hearsay has no place in a Christian´s life.

Romans 1 contains one of the Bible´s lists of sins. The book´s author—the apostle Paul—is reminding believers that God has revealed Himself to all mankind. Those who reject Him and chase after idols are turned over to their evil worship and the immoral practices that go with serving self (Romans 1:24-25). Gossip appears in the middle of the list; God despises it because malicious talk destroys lives whether the stories are true or false. The person who is targeted by the rumor often loses the respect of those who listen to it. Hurt feelings may not be the only negative effect; a job or relationship could be lost as well. Those spreading tales also face destructive consequences. People who refuse to control the tongue reveal evil motives or, at the very least, a lack of discipline. As a result, believers and unbelievers alike will often avoid such untrustworthy individuals. For a Christian who spreads rumors, there´s potential for even worse damage. Not only can the credibility of one´s witness be compromised, but fellowship with the Lord might also be harmed—animosity toward another person and intimacy with God can´t coexist in the same heart.

God wants us to pursue our goals, but with gentleness and kindness. Jesus showed us divine love, healing, and restoration. Let's strive to be our best, but remember to be gentle with ourselves.

God looks for people to serve Him, no matter their background or age. George Liele was a slave in 1750, but his life changed when he heard the Gospel. He realized Jesus was his only hope and his master, a deacon, freed him to serve. Through his outreach, thousands converted and a church was established in South Carolina. Anyone can share the Gospel.

Romans 6:11-18 📖 In New York harbor stands the Statue of Liberty. This world-renowned icon symbolizes the freedom that Americans cherish. Though we have been blessed to live in the `land of the free,` many of our citizens are still held captive by sinful habits and mindsets.

A country's liberty usually depends upon military might and governmental decrees. However, personal freedom has to do with a decision to protect the heart, mind, and body from evil influences. In a nation built upon independence, we call ourselves `free` as long as we aren't incarcerated or somehow prevented from pursuing our interests. But is the man bent upon revenge `liberated`? Is the woman addicted to painkillers `free`? The enemy's arsenal contains all kinds of temptations that shackle one's time and attention. The need to attend to these habits, substances, and attitudes consumes a person and draws his or her focus away from God. Then, as the devil distracts, he also employs one of his greatest deceptions: convincing people that their chains don't really exist. He teaches them how to rationalize (`Just a little won't hurt`) and outright deny (`I can stop anytime I want`).

According to the Bible, men and women are either slaves of God or slaves to sin (Rom. 6:16). There is no middle ground. The latter serve Satan by feeding their own selfish impulses. Meanwhile, the `slaves of God` enjoy true freedom. They honor the Lord by keeping away from those things that imprison the body, emotions, or thoughts.

You Are Not Alone
..for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6

Loneliness is no respecter of persons. It invades the palace as well as the hut. Many turn to drink because of loneliness. Others lose their sanity becasue of loneliness. Many commit su***de because of the despair of loneliness. Thousands have found Christ to be the answer for their loneliness. The Hebrew children were not alone when they were hurled into the fiery furnace of persecution. There was One with them like unto the Son of God. Moses wasn’t alone in the Midian Desert when God came to comfort him and call him to a wider ministry. Elijah wasn’t alone at the cave when God came near and spoke with the still, small voice. Paul and Silas were not alone in the Philippian jail when God came down and gave them a song at midnight. Whoever you are, Christ can give you comfort and companionship.

Whenever I begin to feel alone, help me to remember that You are always with me. Sometimes the way seems dark but You are still there. Thank You, Lord.

1. If you speak too much, you will lie
2. If you think too much,you will be depressed
3. If you cry too much, you will lose your sight
4. If you love too much, you will be lost
5. If you care too much,you will be taken for granted
6.If you play too much, You will not be taken serious often
7.If you trust too much, you will be betrayed
8.If you work too much, You will die of stress
9.If you eat too much, You will be obsessed
10.If you sleep too much, You will be idle
11. If you spend too much, You will have no future
12.If you wear make up too much, You will lose your beauty
13.If you look too much, You will lose your focus
14.If you pursue life too much, you will lose everything.
BUT..........
* When you pray too much, You will have everything
*When you have too much patience, you will have the whole world
*When you invest too much, You will have your future guaranteed
*When you let go too much, you will have peace of mind
*When you are careful too much, you will be saved of many evils.
*When you serve God too much, you will receive unlimited and unspeakable reward and testimony.

A new world
Dr Martin Luther King Jr made the following statement:

"We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love. And when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world, for love is the only way."
It could seem like an impossible task to address the PAIN of our world. Yet there's power in love. Ultimately, the source of love is God Himself: the source of all of our lives.

God does not call us to address every need or all PAIN, but calls us to do our part. In Philippians, Paul makes the following statement about Timothy:

“For I have no one like him, who will be genuinely concerned for your welfare. For they all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 2:20-21 ESV)
Proverbs 11:11 MSG “When right-living people bless the city, it flourishes;”
We can change our cities …

One life at a time.

One need at a time.

Love is the only way. Love revives a tired world.

Ask God to increase your capacity to love.

Apostle Paul said "I didn’t come to you with enticing words of man’s wisdom but with the demonstration of power”

The word of God does not carry power, the word of God is power....
the gospel is not gossip. Scripture said it is the power of God unto salvation.

In Romans 14:17 the Bible says “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit…”

Gone are the days when the joy of a successful fellowship meeting is the sweetness of the food shared; even the deacons appointed to share food did miracles. Deacon Philip was so powerful that he could disappear.

If the handkerchief of Paul could heal the sick, and the shadow of Peter perform wonders why won't we do better now in our generation.

The explanation of the kingdom is simplified in the mystery of “HIS GLORY AND HIS POWER”

Glory is not cloud or smoke. Glory is not a feeling. It is not an overwhelming presence that envelopes you and makes you experience and function in the supernatural. All these are the fruits that glory produce....

Glory is the very essence of God.

The manifestations we see which can be symbolically represented as the cloud, smoke and rain isn’t the glory. The glory is what brings them.

There is no smoke without fire.
There is no manifestation without consecration and intimacy with God.
The will of God is God’s glory.
Alignment with God’s will causes manifestations.

If you must carry God dwell in the secret place.
