In partnership with the Dabaiba government and Libya’s Ministry of Interior, the European Union will relocate a number of irregular migrants to the Aldauwa Islamyia buildings in Tripoli, replacing the use of traditional migrant detention centers.

These facilities will be dedicated mainly to women and children, aiming to provide better living conditions. The initiative is directly funded and supported by the EU, as part of efforts to curb migration flows toward Europe’s southern shores.
