Throughout the month of March, Vassili and Ritam have been training in preparation for the 2nd FIG Junior Artistic World Championships. As a part of that process, Team Australia entered the DTB Pokal Team Challenge competition in Germany.
Against tough competitors, Ritam and his fellow teammates placed 7th in the Team Competition and qualified individually for the Pommel final (Top 6). Unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan as Ritam fell on his Sohn (a skill he has only competed once before) but he kept his head held high and still managed to finish in 5th place.
Congratulations Ritam on an amazing international debut. We look forward to seeing you on the biggest stage in Antalya Turkey in a week's time for the World Championships. Please join us in wishing him the best of luck as he takes on the best of the best.
If you would like to catch all the action, keep an eye on our socials as we will be posting the live stream link very soon. Qualifications kick off, midnight Thursday 31st of March, Australia will be in Sub Division 3

With only one sleep away before the qualifications of the 2nd FIG Junior World Championships in Antalya, Turkey. We would like to share how our athletes, Jovi and Colleen, have been doing these last few days!
The gymnasts departed from Singapore last Friday and have landed safely in Turkey. Jovi and Colleen's podium training was solid, as everyone adjusts to what is their first major games. Jovi will begin his qualification session tomorrow, Wed (29th March), while Colleen will have hers on Thur (30th March).
We would like to applaud the Turkish federation for doing such a fantastic job preparing for this event under the circumstances. Not only is it a first for the athletes, but a first for this brand new venue. We would also like to wish Jovi and Colleen all the best, and we are sure that they will fly the Singapore flag high! 🇸🇬
Live-streaming services also made available for Individual All Around (IAA) and Individual Events Finals (IEF) that will commence from Fri, 31st March to Sun, 2nd April.

Kieryn Finnell earned a spot as the travelling alternate on the USA Junior National Team to compete at the Junior World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antalya, Turkey at the end of March. At the Junior World Championships Selection Camp, competing in a friendly against Canada, Kieryn finished 3rd AA, securing her spot on the US National Team.. Way to go Kieryn.

The top 36 Federations, based on the All-Around ranking results of the Qualifications from the 1st FIG ART JWCH in Györ (HUN) are permitted to send a full team of two (2) to three (3) gymnasts and one (1) reserve gymnast.
