I had an account on Twitter for 14 years. It was my most “influential” home on the internet. In 2012, it was ranked as one of the top three most influential non-branded accounts for live tweeting the presidential debates. One of the three most influential conservative accounts that year was . In 2016, The Daily Edge was ranked one of the top 50 political accounts on Twitter in one other analysis. Other “influencers” soared past me in recent years and I quit Twitter temporarily in the early Musk days. I came back hoping to counter misinformation and have some influence for this year’s election. But that was a fool’s errand. I cannot continue to give free content to Elon Musk. I cannot type a single word that will be training data for his Grok AI. And yes, I know Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos are equally complicit in enabling fascism.
