Sabia que existe um busto muito estimado no Parque?
Foi em 2015 que a Família Bensaude homenageou Vasco Bensaude pelo seu trabalho de reabilitação e enriquecimento botânico do Parque. Um destes grandes exemplos é a criação da Alameda de Ginkgo Biloba, idealizada pelo mesmo. É por isso que o seu busto se encontra no início da Alameda, como uma forma de homenagear o seu grande contributo.

It was in 2015 that the Bensaude Family honored Vasco Bensaude for his work of rehabilitation and botanical enrichment of the Garden. One of these great examples is the creation of the Ginkgo Biloba Avenue, idealized by him. That is why his bust is located at the beginning of the Avenue to pay tribute to his significant contribution.

Veja de perto a beleza da Agapanthus praecox, uma espécie conhecida pelas suas flores azul celeste com veios azuis escuros. Uma mistura única de cores que pode encontrar numa visita ao nosso Parque, entre o fim da primavera e o fim do verão.

Take a closer look at the beauty of Agapanthus praecox, a species known for its sky-blue flowers with dark blue veins. It's a unique blend of colors you can find during a visit to our Garden from late spring to late summer.

Formato exuberante e cores intensas são as características de quem procura reconhecer as nossas bromélias do género Guzmania.
As bromélias podem ser epífitas, ou seja, podem crescer em cima de outras plantas sem danificá-las. É através desta adaptação que conseguem encontrar o local adequado para absorver a luz e os nutrientes que necessitam para crescer.

Exuberant shape and intense colors are the characteristics of those who try to recognize our bromeliads of the genus Guzmania.
The Bromeliad is epiphytic, meaning that it grows on top of other plants, without damaging them.
It is through this adaptation that it manages to find the right place to absorb light and the nutrients it needs to grow.

Num tributo ao trabalho de desenvolvimento do Parque Terra Nostra por parte do Visconde e da Viscondessa da Praia, o filho do casal mandou erguer, em 1896, este memorial que hoje pode contemplar numa das visita ao Parque.

With every stroll, it's possible to uncover new secrets.
In tribute to the development work of Terra Nostra Garden by the Viscount and Viscountess of Praia, their son commissioned the construction of this memorial in 1896, which can be admired during a visit to the Garden today.
