“A ringtone or ring tone is the sound made by a telephone to indicate an incoming call or text message. Not literally a tone nor an actual (bell-like) ring any more, the term is most often used today to refer to customizable sounds used on mobile phones.”

Dringen Records is a collection of ringtones composed by artists. Its goal is to promote short musical pieces met to be listened to when someone calls you on your phone.

iOS Download the iOS version of the ringtone and save it to your iTunes library. Connect your iPhone to iTunes and sync your phone. Once your phone is synced, go to the Settings app on your phone and select Sounds. Select Ringtone and search for your new Waste Free ® ringtone.

Dringen Records is a downloadable ringtone project on soundcloud.
Nowadays, our phones allow us to choose any audio track as our ringtone, the original ringtones seem to be forgotten. The first goal of a ringtone which is to alert the owner of the phone that someone wants to reach him / her feels lost.
The idea is to go back to the original idea of a ringtone, a very short melody, efficient and "alarming".

Two possibilities :
- a seven second ringtone, with a beginning and an end
- a twenty second ringtone, which contains a melody that repeats itself
while evolving.

This project is open to everyone willing, and you can do as many ringtones as you wish.
