One year ago today in a little chapel in Las Vegas, Elvis made it official.
Five months later, we exchanged personal vows in the most beautiful place on Earth.
Four months after that, we threw a party for all our friends and family to celebrate.
And now, three months later, we're back to this very special date.
It's hard to believe so much time has already passed.
We may not have done it the way we were "supposed" to, but we did it the right way for us.

Weâve had some deep convos over the past week and we are so thankful for this community and all the creators that offer us their insight, wisdom, and support.
Every year we revisit the âwhyâ behind our work to see if our current practices are lining up with who we are and what inspires us.
What we always come back to is the experience we are able to create for people on their wedding day, and how it is so meaningful to our work.
Because really, anyone can pick up a camera. Sure, itâs tough to get the hang of editing, and not everything has a natural eye for composition. But at the end of the day, there are so many choices for wedding videography. You could hire just about anyone if all you wanted was a video of your wedding day.
And thatâs exactly why we do things differently around here.
We know this is an investment, but we donât want it to be a scary one. We have made it our mission to serve our couples with everything in our hearts so that they can hold onto these incredible moments with their loved ones.
Thereâs something about the wedding day that creates this unifying human experience â a tale of love, discovery, and even loss. And itâs why we lean deeply into storytelling as a pillar of our work. Because without it, itâs just another montage of beautiful clips set to some music. You feel us?

WHAT. A. WEDDING! Our friendship with Cal and Nancy dates back to our bartending days in Morgantown, West Virginia, so this was a really special one for us.
A few weeks before their wedding, these two had the AWESOME idea to invite us to their Bridal Party Beer Olympics and we got some downright epic footage with this group. Having recently moved to another state, Cal and Nancy were SO excited to be back home and to celebrate alongside their closest friends. We loved that Mom, Dad, and siblings were all in for the fun, too!
And while the Beer Olympics was a more *casual* event, you best believe each and every one of them brought that same energy to the wedding day. We filmed a bridal party shotgun competition, burnt sâmores by the firepit, and an unforgettable fireworks display. And did we mention the killer backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains? I mean this was like the summer send-off party of the year!
And even though we had plenty of fun, goofy footage to work off of, we couldnât help but notice the incredible thought that went into the experience. A piper led the way into the ceremony with traditional music that nodded to Calâs Irish heritage. After their vows, Nancy and Cal mixed a bourbon from their home states West Virginia and Maryland and crafted a cocktail for the rest of the guests to enjoy.
These two created such an intimate and personal experience for their guests by infusing their love story and personalities into each element of the day, and I think that shows so much about who they are as individuals, and as a couple. This is truly what it looks like to marry your best friend, and we are just so happy for these two.

One of our all time fave intros weâve ever put together! Alyssa and Jasonâs wedding day had plenty of those tear-jerking moments that make an emotional wedding film, but their guests brought a lot of fun and high-energy vibes to the day, as well. It was important for us to showcase ALL the feels from the day â not just the ones that required tissues. So we thought this funky, upbeat intro was a perfect way to integrate some of those funnier, sassier moments.
We LOVED the details that made this romantic vineyard wedding. The groomsmen sported corked boutonnieres--SO cute! In the reception space, a bottle of wine sat in place of centerpieces. During the ceremony, Alyssa and Jason blended two bottles of wine to signify the joining of two hearts. The landscaping was pristine and the drone shots were epic! This was definitely a wedding for wine lovers.
Alyssa and Jasonâs story is one of resilience; the inner peace that's found in a loving relationship. We are so humbled to be part of these beautiful memories and we just love the way this film turned out!

Ben and Katelyn's day was full of laughter and smiles. After eight years of dating through school, pets, and careers, their friends and family were overjoyed to make their partnership "official" in marriage. The bridal party brought out all the stops for this couple! The groomsmen coordinated a group, pre-ceremony Fireball shot, while the girls planned a secret gift giving that would bring everyone in the room to tears.
As Ben and Katelyn celebrated with their guests, there was undoubtedly an absence that could be felt throughout the day. Those in attendance honored Katelyn's dad by sharing happy memories of his big personality, and how proud he was to see Katelyn and Ben grow together.

A creative wedding concept come to life.
In 2016, Philip thought he hit rock bottom. Fresh out of graduate school and unemployed, he acquired a speeding ticket that he couldn't afford to pay. As a last resort, he applied for an entry-level position at Kroger. What he thought was the lowest point in his life turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It was at Kroger that he met the love of his life: Kimberly.
Philip and Kimberly's wedding day was just a roller coaster of emotions. After several years dating, their families were overjoyed to watch these two love birds make it official. We captured so much laughter, and even more tears. To watch this couple's incredible journey come to this fairytale ending was truly an emotional experience to be part of. In our line of work, we get to know each of our couple's before the big day. What we don't often get to hear until the wedding day itself? The family's perspective.
Both Connor and Lexie had siblings in the wedding party, and they had some great thoughts to share during the toasts! We absolutely loved getting to tell their love story through their loved ones eyes. We also got to see fun and memorable moments from their guests, including a surprise group chug during their first dance, a tearful speech from the groom's mom, and some epic dance moves!
But probably most touching was the letter exchange between Connor and Lexie before the ceremony, when they open up about their baby on the way and the excitement they share for their growing family. Prepare for an emotional rollercoaster--this one will have you tearing up!

Over the weekend we celebrated four years together. Like everyone else, we've spent most of this year at home. Anybody that knows us understands that we are social butterflies. So it has been an adjustment with all the social restrictions--we might even be homebodies now đ But we realized we were letting the "new normal" of the pandemic navigate our relationship into the backseat.
We pour our hearts into our work and forget to set boundaries. We take the other granted because they're stuck at home with us. We get so caught up in everything going on in the world that we forget to appreciate what is in front of us.
Relationships aren't successful by accident. It takes work and commitment, as many of you already know. If you feel like you're settling into a "pandemic routine", it is definitely time for a date night. Plan a sunset hike or get dressed to the nines and treat yourselves to a fancy dinner. Don't want to leave the house? Clear off the dining room table, turn on the record player and put the phones away as you cook a tasty meal together. Mark your calendar for a time to connect with your partner and just let loose together. We promise it'll be worth putting pants on đ«

Leanna and Derek had a classic wedding at Misty Mountain Event Barn, a wedding venue located outside of Petersburg, West Virginia. We made a fast friendship with these two when we first sat down for coffee, and we are so honored to have been trusted with their story.
Leanna and Derek's wedding day was just a rollercoaster of emotions. One second everyone was laughing and goofing around, but the next moment would be so profound you'd tear up on the spot. We really wanted to reflect the sincerity and compassion that these two carried on their wedding day, so we went with a moving, cinematic soundtrack, and focused heavily on intimate moments we think carried the narrative of the highlight film.
Our latest film! We took a different approach this time around. We wanted to reflect the bubbly personalities and excitement from the bridal party, so we created something a little more upbeat! We were totally dancing in our seats through the editing process đ
We believe in soul mates, and that everyone has a person. Though they didn't know it then, as Madison recalls in her vows, their hearts have belonged to each other since the beginning. There wasn't a dry eye in the house after a truly heartfelt and sentimental vow exchange, as both Madison and Matthew recalled moments from recess in first grade, to their first kiss on the school bus, and finally the long distance they endured through college. It truly felt like it was a story straight out of a movie, and it was such a special day to be part of. Not to mention--their guests were WILD! The reception was such a thumpin' party as their friends and family celebrated what was a long time coming. We're so excited to share this film and after all the milestones they've shared together, we can't wait to see where life takes these two!

Last September, we met up with Blake and Slaton for a sunrise shoot on their community beach. We had never gotten up so early to start filming, but MAN oh man was it worth it. In an instant, blue hour became our favorite hour. The soft lighting, the wild wind, the sweetness in their air⊠we were VIBIN with it
And, to make the day EVEN cooler, these two took us out on their boat for some pretty epic drone shots (we hid in the cabin cause weâre sneaky like that)
So this is an invite to the couples out there that wanna do something a little different. Letâs veer off the traditional path together, get wild and laugh our pants off doing it!

Four months after a private ceremony, these two recreated all the feels during a "photo day", inviting their family and closest friends to celebrate their marriage. Later in the evening, we took John and Sommar to a private location to exchange letters and vows to each other. Even though it wasn't the wedding they'd planned, the day was full of intimate and sweet moments that can only happen when you're surrounded by the love and support that John and Sommar had on their day.

âYou look so good...and I look like garbageâ đđ„șđ
Kimber and Philip turned us into total âfirst lookâ fans. The moment when Philip sees Kimber for the first time is just so incredibly moving and intimate. We felt like we were in our own little Philip/Kimber bubble!
We were surprised by a domino effect that this first look had throughout the day. If youâre thinking about doing a first look, here are a few reasons we found it to be a HUGE advantage to the wedding day:
1. Family formal portraits and photos with the bridal party were checked off the list early in the day. This allowed the bride and groom to roll right into the reception and immediately join their guests. Dinner is not typically served until the bride and groom are ready, so guests were fed promptly and able to enjoy the grand entrance and formal dances early in the evening.
2. Because family portraits AND formal dances were completed by the time dinner was served, we had SO much more time and flexibility during golden hour. There wasnât a rush to get back or any stress about the schedule. This allowed us to take our time, get creative, and try new things! We always have fun with our couples on the wedding day, but we know how much time and effort other vendors put into the day too. We didn't have to worry about altering the plannerâs timeline or about the catererâs food getting cold and that was a definite load off everyoneâs back, including the coupleâs!
3. Your hair and makeup is F-R-E-S-H. You wonât have to worry about jumping immediately into photos after an emotional, tear-jerking ceremony. In fact, you even have a minute to do a quick re-touch before walking down the aisle!
4. And, of course, you get a totally cute and private moment with your boo before the day takes on a life of its own.
We feel that Kimber and Philip were able to make the most out of their wedding day because of their first look. We know first hand how quickly wedding days can fly by, and perhaps itâs one of those things you keep hearing but donât understand until you experience it yourself. So our advice? Do a first look. Have an actually private moment with your partner, get down to business early, and give your guests the party they've been waiting for!

Sooo this goes without saying, but Kim and Agu were freaking awesome to work with! Putting their sneak peek together, it was important to us that we crafted something that truly reflected their vibe. We donât believe that our work should follow a cookie cutter model, because we donât work with cookie cutter couples. So everything down to the split screen shot, music choice, and even the color palette was meticulously thought out to paint these two in their remarkable light.
There were SOO many great moments from Ciera and Trever's day, but one of my favorites was the toast made by Ciera's twin sister. Cara's speech had me laughing one minute, and fighting tears the next. At times I felt like I was listening to the potential speech I might give at my own sister's wedding. I knew quickly that this speech was the perfect beginning to Ciera and Trever's film--a sibling's perspective is always fun to listen to between the throwback childhood memories and the downright giddy excitement to welcome a new member into the family.

I'm not often speechless but thinking back on Marie and Michael's wedding... I am just so full of love and appreciation for these two. Between their guests, family and vendors, this was a really special group of people to work with. From the second I arrived, I felt like one of the fam and I value that SO much. There was lots of laughing and finger gun pointing, camera flares and disco dancing--the perfect concoction for an unforgettable day đ

Why, after the luxury I was living in, do I suddenly find myself here in a tent? Why am I in a tent sleeping with 6 people, woken up by the flies at 5:30 when I couldnât sleep until midnight because of the sound of war planes and fear? Why do I not have the appropriate atmosphere to work or develop my skills? Why, when I was supposed to experience travel last year, am I still here as a prisoner? Why do I not feel comfortable changing and wearing my clothes and feel forced to cover up most of the time? Why is it that when I want to buy shampoo, I have to search everywhere and in the end I cannot find it?! Why am I unable to take a shower and just rest, because of the fear? Why must I wash my clothes by hand, with an electric washing machine not even an option? Why did my skin become damaged, my color changed by a million shades? Why has my skin and my color changed drastically? Why do I have to burn wood, fire and misery to prepare a cup of Nescafe? Why, when I want to talk to someone, I can't even say two words?! Why when I want to talk about something, I find everyone has heard it? Why did I lose everything and all the terminology? Why do I crave eating meat and cannot find it, and when I do, I cannot afford it? Why is there such distance between me and the people dear to my heart? Why can I not reach them because of lsraeli security barriers on our beloved city? Why, if I get sick, is the choice of going to hospital not available because healthcare system totally destroyed? Why can't I lock myself in the room and cry freely? Why can't I get my favorite perfume? Why l should walk big distance to get internet with lack of transportation? Why can't I breathe? Kicking off our 2024 wedding season with the two sweetest humans! Molly and Ryan invited their guests back to the place where their love story began â Washington, DC. The two exchanged vows in a beautiful church ceremony at Georgetown University, the very campus where they first met. After the ceremony, the bride and groom welcomed guests at AutoShop in Union Market, where the former auto body shop was transformed into a luxury candlelit dinner scene with gorgeous pink florals and hanging greenery. Guests arrived to find hand-written letters from the bride and groom, and enjoyed cocktails on the rooftop while taking in the city views. And of course, we enlisted one of the groomsmen to pop around with our 1990s camcorder for some very candid well wishes. So excited to share more from this day and of this beautiful couple! A meeting will help you get to know each other and make sure your personalities mesh well. You will spend most of your wedding day with your videographer, so you want to make sure you get along. DONâT just look at their Instagram. While social media is a great place to start, itâs impossible to grasp a videographerâs style and storytelling capabilities through bite-sized clips. Watch 3-4 of their full-length wedding films. Pay attention to how they tell a story and the way they capture a full wedding day. DO share details about the vision you have for your wedding film. Know the style you like and how you want your day to be captured. This helps us better understand how to serve you and ultimately determine whether weâll be the right people for the job. Settling back into the office after a busy week of traveling and reconnecting with friends and family. As nice as it was to get outside of the house for a change, I'm so happy to get back to editing. Itâs exciting to finally break ground with our fall 2023 projects, and I can't wait to dig into all these incredible love stories. Starting strong with our first October wedding, Kerry and Chris's intimate Virginia Beach elopement is an experience we will forever cherish. Kerry is just a stunning human being inside and out. I feel a sort of secondhand empowerment watching her move with such confidence and grace. In those moments leading up to their first look, Kerry could not stop smiling. If she was nervous, she didn't show it. She had this ethereal calmness to her that you only see in someone who is truly at peace. Later in the day, Kerry and Chris would share some of the most heartfelt and beautiful vows I've ever heard. We left that day feeling so inspired by their love for each other. We can't wait to show more from their beautiful day together.

THE NIGHT BEFORE -- There were so many fun moments captured over the course of Sydney and Rodolfoâs four day celebration. One major highlight of the weekend was their welcome party. Complete with a mariachi band, margarita bar, and Mexican popsicles, this festive outdoor barbeque was such a cool way to share their family culture and to get the party started! We love love LOVE capturing pre-wedding events like these. While the wedding day is the grand event, there is a certain coziness and intimacy in the moments before the big day. The reception space of our dreams âšïž It gives me so much joy as a filmmaker to capture beautiful details like these. When telling a love story, shots like these may not feel important. But I believe even the smallest of details can come together to tell a great story. One thing we really admire about Erin and James is their incredible loyalty and devotion to family and friends. Throughout the weekend, we heard several stories that showed us the incredible impact James and Erin have had in their community. Their love for their guests was felt in every detail at their reception venue. Set at the gorgeous Admiralâs House, guests took in a breathtaking view of the Seattle skyline as they sipped on Aperol Spritzâs and sampled wood-fired pizza. Later, guests were seated at farmhouse tables and enjoyed a delicious family-style meal. Rather than sit away from their guests, Erin and James sat with their bridal party and faced all of their guests. It felt like a party truly curated uniquely for them. The truth of the matter is, you may not remember the exact details of what were on your tables at your reception. Documentation of these details is a beautiful way to preserve the full picture of your wedding day. Erin's wedding toast had everyone crying happy tears đ„čđ„č With heartwarming anecdotes to captivating storytelling, we think her wedding speech is one to take note of. We have heard hundreds of speeches over the years and have 5 tips to the perfect wedding speech: 1. Introduce yourself and your relationship to the couple. 2. Say something nice about the person youâre there to represent. You can use a funny or endearing story to exemplify their best qualities and attributes. Remember â this isnât a roast. Inside jokes do not land well because most guests donât understand the context. 3. Keep your speech to 7 minutes or less. You can tell a story, but keep it concise. We love how Erin wrapped up an entire childhood in just a few sentences. You could absolutely picture her and Alison growing up together, sharing a bedroom and just being kids. It was short but complete and gave us some insight into their dynamic as sisters, and as friends. 4. Share the story about how and when you met the partner. You can use a story to illustrate why they are the best person to be with your person. A little teasing is generally ok, but be sure to immediately follow up with some kind words to round it out.  5. Finally (our biggest pet peeve) please do not copy someone elseâs toast that youâve seen on the internet. The couple has chosen you out of everyone else to share your thoughts and feelings on their special day. Please do them the honor of writing something from the heart.
