UNIFORM OF ARMED FOFRCES AND IT'S DANGER TO NON-MEMBERAl
This provision 140 is repealed by 1972 No.9
Section 140 of the Nigerian Criminal Code states: "Any person who not being a serving member of any armed forces of Federation or of any other country, wears the uniform of any of those forces, or any dress having the appearance or bearing any of the regimental or other distinctive marks of any such uniform, with intent that it may be believed that he is a person serving in any of those forces, is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for three years." This section makes it clear that only members of the armed forces are allowed to wear military uniforms, and those who do so without authorization can face serious consequences.
There are a few exceptions to Section 140 of the Nigerian Criminal Code. One such exception is found in Section 140(2), which states that the section does not apply to: (a) the wearing of any such uniform or dress for a purpose authorized by law; (b) the wearing of any such uniform or dress for a bona fide stage or theatrical performance, or for a bona fide public entertainment of any kind; (c) the wearing of any such uniform or dress in the course of a trade or business, if the uniform or dress is reasonably necessary for the purposes of that trade or business.

WHY IT IS DIFFICULT TO HAVE A GENERAL DEFINITION OF THE LAW.
The quest to have a generally acceptable definition of Law has exposed scholars, jurists and others to different philosophical thoughts and theories.Meanwhile,It is difficult to have a general definition of the Law,the reasons are:the legal scholars,jurists and others who have made alot of efforts to define Law come from different background as such, everyone defined Law according to the operation of the background of their origin.This peculiarity of background is being linked to the story of the six blind men of the hinduster that went to see the elephant, they touched the elephant which each an everyone of them explained how elephant looks like based on the part one touched.Again,Law is dynamic,which means that what may be law today may not be law tomorrow and what the law looks like may be interpreted otherwise hence the popular quote in the work of Charles Dickson "The law is an ass" Which is a derisive expression said when the rigid application of the letter of Law is seen to be contrary to common Sense.
