This is hands down one of my favorite tracks I've ever had the chance to remix. I see sites that say the Lovelorn Dolls sound like The Birthday Massacre, Lacuna Coil, and maybe Amy Lee (obviously, that should tell you frontwoman Kristell is ridiculously great). I heard similarities to one of my all-time favorite bands ever, Switchblade Symphony. Please check them out on all streaming services, and if you like, spend a buck or two and buy a track from them. 💜"One of the most anticipated albums of the year that has just begun is certainly 'Deadtime Stories', an album with which the Belgian duo will reappear on the market five years after 'Darker Ages'. Predicting it is this maxi single, produced by Maxx Maryan (Helalyn Flowers, ImJudas) and containing five remixes, which marks a further step in terms of production and arrangements. The atmosphere is no longer as dark as on the occasion of the third full length, but the dark shades are used to paint a solemn melodic architecture and the specific weight of the synths is significant. A few moments are enough to realize that Kristell Lowagie and Bernard Daubresse are back with great determination and in the end 'Beautiful Chaos' is a perfect single. The vocal parts are superb, the chorus remains in your head and the video with which it was promoted works, even if the greatest merit of this release lies in the versions of other artists who have enhanced all the nuances of the piece. The Restriction 9 remix evokes the nostalgia for the alternative clubbing that was so fashionable between the late nineties and the early 2000s while Abysthe Of Faith made the industrial and cyberpunk edges even more evident. Personally, however, my favorites are Audiopyre remix and The Breath Of Life remix. You really want to listen to them all the time and they give the feeling that a new era could open for the Lovelorn Dolls. In the hope of being able to see them soon in our area, 'Deadtime Stories' could not have boasted a better preview."
