It’s never too late to start being happy. Not only is Mole a lonely 50 something autistic Welsh woman, she is also an unsuccessful face-painter, lost in her own world. Sylvia, the "tragically English" Lady of the Manor, who is also seeking purpose and a way out of her loneliness, takes Mo under her wing. The two soon discover that they have more in common than first meets the eye. Through Mo’s honesty and openness about autism, Sylvia finds a way to access her love for the child she lost a half a lifetime ago. As their friendship develops, the two step out of their respective shadows. Initially a tale of loneliness, love and lost motherhood, “Mole” serves as a beacon of hope for all of us.

I am thrilled to announce the Theme tune for Mole... "That Scares Me" by Judith Owen and Julia Fordham.
I heard Judith sing it live as a part of the show she performed in with Ruby Wax in 2011, "Losing It" about mental health issues, specifically depression. It really moved me, if you havent heard it, click on the link below, the lyrics are poignant and the vocals are mesmorising, which capture the duet nature of Mo and Sylvia on their journey of rediscovery.
Judith Owen is also Welsh, which seemed even more perfect for the play Mole, which is set in Wales. Mole will release on Spotify, iTunes and Amazon Music mid March 2021 and is the second in the autism themed trilogy "So Crocodile" by Samantha Grierson Schwarz.

Mole - The Audio Play. I am proud to present Gillan Elisa as Mary. Gillian has worked extensively in both Welsh and English television, and theatre, playing characters such as Sabrina in Pobol y Cwm, Detective Sergeant Allison Griffiths in A Mind to Kill (with Philip Madoc) and Nessa's lingerie seller in Gavin and Stacey. She continues to entertain live audiences with her incorrigible creation Mrs OTT and recently presented the delightful dog lovers' documentary Pobol y Cŵn on S4C.
Fans of Billy Elliot will recognize Gillian as 'Grandma' who she played in the West End for five years. Gillian also played 'Nana Pat' in Ruth Jones's Sky 1 hit series Stella.
She recently featured in the Bafta award winning BANG on S4C as well as the spine-chiller series HIDDEN. In S4C’s popular courtroom drama 35 Awr, Gillian played the unforgettable Val.
In 2017 she toured with Karen Diamond's Company Re-live, in the highly acclaimed play, 'Belonging.' Also toured South Wales with the musical TIC TOC in 2019 with an all female cast about Factory Women.
A prolific actor, and a talented singer, Gillian has recorded four CD's comprising musical theatre and popular songs, in both Welsh and English, and has appeared in several pantomimes nationwide.
Gillian recently played the part of Widow Corney in the highly succesful, popular, musical 'Oliver' during the Summer Season of 2019, at The Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
Gillian is delighted to be part of the cast of MOLE.

Mole The Audio Play. I am delighted to announce that Richenda Carey will be playing the role of Sylvia in "Mole", the "tragically English" Lady of the Manor... who strikes up an unlikely friendship with Mole (Sharon Morgan).

Richenda Carey is an English theatre, television and film actress, who is known for her roles in Downton Abbey, The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister, Monarch of the Glen, Jeeves and Wooster, Crush and later, Separate Lies and Criminal Justice.

She appeared in Calendar Girls (2003) at the Noël Coward Theatre. In 2015 she appeared in the film Colonia Dignidad alongside Emma Watson and Daniel Brühl.

Crocodile. Introducing Elise Schwarz as Executive Producer and Legal, to complete the all female team of cast and crew on Crocodile the Audio Play.

Elise has practiced Civil Litigation in the State of New York since 2003 and was admitted to the Solicitors roll of England and Wales in 2005 and Scotland in 2015 and ran her own Law firm in New York for 8 years.

Elise is also a published author of “I believe in Evan” and is currently working on her second book.
