To support the “No Tree, No Graduation” program of the School President and to instill environmental awareness, grade 6 pupils of Divine Word College of Calapan together with some parents, guardians, teachers, and staff participated in the Mangrove Tree Planting Activity at Wawa, Calapan City, February 15, 2025.

Around 6:15 in the morning, the participants gathered at St. Freinademetz Campus where the DWCC vehicles were waiting. They proceeded to Wawa Covered Court and joined the other divinistas there. After the checking of attendance, Ms. Aimee Bermudez conducted an orientation, then everyone proceeded to the area where mangrove will be planted. Each participant was given two propagandules. With the help of some employees and barangay official, the pupils were able to accomplish their task.

Heavy rains made the task more difficult, but it added color and excitement to the activity because of the unexpected scenarios.

The said activity was spearheaded by the Community Extension Services.
