This watch is in place for all our Tennessee counties. Main threats this evening will be heavy rainfall and some gust winds. Watching storms fire this afternoon to our west and move in later this evening.

This story is so close to my heart. I owe my love for meteorology and science to a strong female fictional character played by Helen Hunt from Twister and from watching Ginger Zee make leaps and bounds for female meteorologists. I got to build a story about how girls these days are being inspired by characters they see on TV and I spoke with some amazing young women and educators about what it means to be a female role model. Press play for a month full of hard work, an incredible interview with Ginger, and some of the brightest girls I've ever met.
