What does Rico think this is going to accomplish? He might have a case if it wasn't for the fact that he had to resort to cheating to beat Kyle in the first place. Also funny how he leaves out the fact that he lost in the River Rumble and lost in his bid for the RCCW Tag Team Championships at the Champions Slamathon. He should be thanking Derek for thr opportunity because it doesn't seem deserved.

Sending out best wishes to Kyle Roberts as he recovers from this injury. Kyle hasn't been a guest on the show, but hopefully we can make it work in the near future.

It will be interesting to see how Derek Cobain moves forward in River City Championship Wrestling with the City of Lacrosse Championship. Rest assured that Jobbing With Josh will be trying to get the breaking news as soon as possible.

Check out this interview with Derek Stone! Lots of good nuggets in here as we learn a little about one of River City Championship Wrestling's newest stars. This was a fun chat, and I'm sure it won't be the last!

Some thoughts after River City Championship Wrestling River Rumble event.

The Dad Body Donnas taking advantage of a misstep by Valhalla Rising proved essential to earning the RCCW Tag Team Championships. It also seemed to prove catastrophic for Vic Ross.

The Wanderer - AC Riley Continues to shine as a fighting champion who takes on all challenges despite an ominous threat from an unknown foe.

Rico De La Vega is still a jerk.

Skitz was largely met with early confusion from the RCCW faithful. That was eroded quickly with his surprising in ring prowess and entertaining demeanor.

Derek Stone is a monster and Chris Black was a great opponent for him.

Kyle Roberts is definitely a hometown favorite and had his hands full with a very game Lennox Leone.

Koda Jacobs has a serious mean streak going on. He definitely had some points about Aesop Mitchell previously being violent before "selling out." Koda proves with every match that he is willing to do whatever it takes to scratch his way up the ladder.

Jaysin Masters and Vic Ross learned that they rely on chicanery too much and paid for it. Berating Valhalla Rising earlier in the night backfired when they stood up for themselves and refused to interfere against AC Riley. Can Masters ever win without some form of help?

Derek Stone firmly put himself on the radar of our Heavyweight champion after he retained by beating down Riley and leaving him laying in the middle of the ring as Stone held the belt high. Color me intrigued with that potential match up.

Connor Hopkins is cutting promos beyond his years.

The Rumble match was incredibly fun with the new format and worked so well. The Wild Children looked firmly in control, but Skitz proved he is not fighting alone(at least in his own mind) as he overcome 3 on 1 odds plus a bitter Rico De La Vega to win the first title match in 2022. To say the crowd was ecstatic would be an understatement.

What a night. What a show. What. A. Promotion.

After nearly a week to consider the events of the latest River City Championship Wrestling event, I have some takeaways.

1) What is Connor Hopkins - Professional Wrestler up to with the young tag team he just "recruited"? Surely they see through the "Experience" and see his devious intent.

2) Are Nathan Sensation and Jack Spade able to hang with the upper echelon of tag teams in the area?

3) Sierra is an absolute star and she's poised to do big things in RCCW after her return.

4) The REAL Brock Hall is a coward. So much so that he actually disgraces NKotB.

5) Kyle Roberts is super over with the RCCW crowd and for good reason. He definitely is the hometown hero.

6) Jarrod Jaxx has a "big time" mentality, but since losing his last RCCW HW title reign, he's done little to earn that swag.

7) On the other hand, Big Time Ben Holberg is becoming one of the best refs in the Midwest and deserves the moniker.

8) The Wanderer - AC Riley worked pretty well with Joey Jet Avalon despite trying to destroy each other thr previous month. Can AC hold on to his RCCW HW title? Will Joey be held responsible for leaving Riley high and dry to take a pinfall?

9) Last one. The Real McCoy JDX was ROBBED by the lowlife scum Jaysin Masters, Vic Ross, Devlin Kain and Ragnar the Ruthless. JDX is a CoLaX champ that we all deserve and this new Ross stable is a cancer in RCCW. Will Derek Cobain step in to help restore some order in RCCW?

What's fun for me about independent wrestling is the variety of wrestlers. There are some who know their niche, accept that is where they fit and own it. There are others who aspire for way way more and grind and evolve. Both groups are awesome. Then there's the support staff. Ticket sellers, bartenders, merch table attendants, ushers/security, owners, bookers, sound system folks and referees. So amazing.
