We had a great time talking with about the new lineup at Savage and Cooke out at Mare Island in Vallejo, CA. Savage and Cooke is producing their own juice these days and they use their knowledge of the wine industry to source local ingredients and finish many of their products in wine casks. I really liked their rye finished in Grenache casks. They will have their bloody butcher bottled in bond bourbon hitting the shelves. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by and getting a bite to eat at their historical facility and tasting some great whiskey. Join us on this next adventure of Distilling the West.
