“A compound found in cannabis may stave off a type of programmed cell death regularly seen in the neurons of people with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other forms of dementia.

Called cannabinol (CBN), the cannabinoid in question is not psychoactive and appears to keep aging brain cells alive by limiting oxidative stress within key cellular organelles. CBN has previously been found to have potent neuroprotective effects, but the mechanism underlying this property remains unknown. “

Diane Carter’s patient journey.

Diane Carter is a force of nature. Through trial and tribute, she is the embodiment of a divine feminine. Conquering a vast array of obstacles throughout her journey that she calls life. Cancer, mental illness, physical abuse, and a multitude of other extremities have never once made her deter. Coping with these challenges that life brings to our front door can be overwhelming. Especially while having to raise a family throughout her journey. Sixty two years, this woman has been through it all. One may ask, how did she survive it all? What could make this woman overcome life ending feats? Difficulties that would make others cower and parish. Her answer is simple, two commonalities that are far from each other but so close. Glory to god, and good ole fashion Cannabis. Faith, in two pillars of her existence. Entities that have helped her heal and prosper. God gave my mother cannabis.

Earlier years of Diane’s life weren’t the typical upbringing for a child. With two parents that basically own the town, this little girl was left to fend for herself. Bars, restaurants, car dealerships, title of county sheriff, it all derogates a parents necessity to raise a child. Leaving the responsibility to the community at hand, Hereford Texas was left to raise little Diane. Life lessons, un forgettable memories, and down home values, all sourced from different walks of life. Living lawless through her adolescence, not every situation was wholesome.

This is where her faith in god comes into play. Being a female in society in that era of time is much different that modern day. Sexual abuse was oversaw, rights were ignored, and age meant nothing to repulsive scum of the earth. Even though this would break most, it made her stronger. Hercules doesn’t have a ounce of what this woman possesses. Life continues and we move on. She grew, prospered, and moved on to the next chapters.

Billie Stolp,

My name is Billie Stolp and I am 41 years old. I smoked for the first time ever when I was 17 years old. When I was younger I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and they ended up putting me on heavy doses of pharmaceutical drugs, that didn’t work obviously due to the misdiagnoses. Personally, at age 23, I started using cannabis as a medication when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

I now spend my days managing a dispensary and then I spend my days off helping patients get their medical cards. My mom died in a coma due to the medications and she had no quality of life whatsoever at the end. I got into the industry so I can help cancer patients, like my mom, have better quality medicine for a better quality of life.

I really enjoy flower as it helps me with the anxiety life always seems to throw at me. MAC is my favorite strain. I’m a huge Teri girl and the combination of terpenes in MAC are SUPER TASTY! I’m always happy after I have smoked a blunt of MAC, I feel like it’s the perfect hybrid!
