Before the pandemic started, we did a fabulous 6th edition of the Make Art Not War Teaser Future Film Festival / Manwtfff at the Cinéma Beaubien (Montreal, Canada) organized by Make Art Not War Foundation.

In this edition, David McGoings was given the Cultural Interest Award for his teaser, Catharsis:2066. It was a fabulous breathtaking film that we enjoyed.

We are proud to inform you that his teaser is now a successful book, available on Amazon.com and it is “one of the favorite books of 2022” (A Novel Choice V.A.)

Special Mention by for BEST POSTER goes to USA. “It caught my attention from all of the posters of this year, this one in particular. I started visualizing a film, that I wanted to see if I would have stopped by to get a ticket for the cinema. I imagined a story, through the images, and it was like if it would only happen in a pre-pandemic Montreal, in a scenario where two strangers would meet after the funeral of their Patriarch (Personified by Juan Pantoja), which would have taken place at the same time as the 1955 Richard Riot during the celebration of St Patrick’s festivities. Even then, with the latest updates of the riots coming in over the radio airwaves, the recently acquainted mourners talks about the incipient but every year more visible weather change. When finally, the escalating protests leave them no choice to keep ignoring the imminent disaster, they cannot but to venture deeper into the wilderness, they become even more removed from shopping conventions, by removing their ego in a fascinating inner venture at Naturale.

“MAKE ART NOT WAR Teaser Future Film Festival” aka MANWTFFF is the ONLY Teaser and Crowdfunding festival in the world for film projects. A brother Teaser Film Festival from Cine Próximo (FICiProx), established in Argentina in 2015 by Award Winning Filmmakers, José Campusano and Federico Jacobi.

MANWTFFF compiles exemplary teasers and short scenes from films yet to be completed, featuring artists from all around the world. Creating a crowdfunding campaign to help film projects come to life.

MANWTFFF is an Activity of a Nonprofit Organization of the Arts called MAKE ART NOT WAR . Its mission is to “support original content from artists and creators around the world in Art, Music, Cinema and Television. Focusing on cultural interest projects and freedom of speech initiatives.”

In this 6th year edition 2021, after the festival changed its name and made it virtually online for the first time duo to COVID19 in 2020; it will be presenting its complete program, video teaser and poster print, in a physical location, Artbug Gallery, located in the Art District of Los Angeles, CA. In this prestigious space, the festival will showcase its complete program. Some projects will be showcased in hybrid mode (physically at the space and virtually, online).
