Anger was my go to emotion or my drug of choice as I often call it in my grief journey after losing my brother to a homicide in November of 2016. It took me years to pull myself out of such intense anger and I know that other siblings experience this as well.

Join me on April 20th as I share how I released this emotion and learned how to use my anger in a positive way. I will also teach you how to move through your grief anger and release it in a way that is right for you.

Linda has a unique story to share with us this week. She lost not one, but two brothers unexpectedly under tragic circumstances. After the death of her brother Jeff, Linda struggled with the fact that she missed the signs of depression that led him to su***de. At the time she was a psychology student and struggled with the idea of completing her studies but eventually relied upon the support of professors and friends that supported her journey.

20 years after losing Jeff, Linda then lost her second brother, Michael. Micheal had struggled throughout his life with drugs and alcohol. 20 years after her first sibling loss Linda received the second call. After Michael’s death, Linda struggled with her faith. Throughout that time, she came back to her faith through seeing the support her community provided her family during such a trying time. Linda’s story is a journey of repeated grief and healing, and as we see in many of our stories a instinct to help others.

Join Susan Tompkins who is a bereaved sibling just like us for this exciting workshop on April 20th at our first ever Surviving Siblings Summit!

Susan Tompkins of 3C Clarity is an intuitive life coach, public speaker, and mentor. Susan inspires sparkling second acts through her heart-centered 1:1 coaching journeys, women’s circles, and Energy Art workshops. She helps people tap into their inner desires and create a plan to manifest the life they want to live, on purpose, with purpose. Her older brother’s passing in 2021 sparked an inner journey that walked her through dark stages of grief. It was during this healing process she created Energy Art, a cathartic way to express and transform emotions. Susan shares Energy Art at community and mindfulness centers as well as with her clients. When Susan is not conducting life coaching sessions or holding a women’s circle on the beach, she can be found cheering at her daughter’s track meets, striking downward dog amidst a pasture of baby goats, or singing her favorite ‘70s songs offkey while playing the guitar.

Meet .casey our morning Keynote Speaker! She’s an author, therapist, podcaster and bereaved sibling.

Please join Susan Casey, therapist, grief and loss coach, bereavement group facilitator, podcaster, and author of Rock On: Mining for Joy in the Deep River of Sibling Grief for a discussion on grief, loss, and healing.
In this 60-minute keynote presentation, Susan will share her personal story of loss, followed by a talk that will cover grieving vs. mourning, types of grief people experience, strategies for coping with grief, and post-traumatic growth and healing.

Through Susan’s personal experience of losing her younger brother in 2014 and through her professional work throughout the past 3 decades, Susan has learned that grief can be a gateway to experiencing and embracing our inner light in a more profound and life-changing way when we surrender rather than resist the profound losses in our lives.
