Blurb - Online Magazine & Collective blurb is an online art, culture and lifestyle magazine and collective. At the heart of it, blurb is about the shared experience of life. Come chat with us!

We curate and create an unlimited medium for artists and invite like minded people to share their thoughts, perspectives and works with the public. The online magazine and collective hopes to showcase this and become an accessible archive of art, culture and lifestyle for everyone.

One of the driving forces behind what we do is the recognition of the gaps and binaries behind art in Singapore, an

d the desire to bridge such. We believe that art is in the everyday - it is both in creation and consumption, it is in our culture and lifestyle. There shouldn't exist the notion that only "artists" (a structural concept; an occupation) can create or contribute. We think that interest, perception, and passion prevail. There is no "art" vs "non-art". Creativity, love and appreciation prevail over any binaries or labels. blurb curates content from fellow creatives and kindred spirits. We keep an eye out for any interesting and perceptive ideas, pitches and contributions for both our magazine and collective. If you have something you are proud of and wish to showcase on our platform, contact us at [email protected] or .mag on Instagram. We will be able to send you a PDF of our contributor guidelines and submission process.

Intertidal explorations with Inez Alsagoff 🧞‍♂️ We often assume that the local ecology and marine life are limited and uninteresting. In this piece, proves us wrong and shares about her passion for marine biology and how it eventually culminated in her intertidal tours () and up-cycling jewelry business (.co).

Both are ventures that are true to the idea of sustainability, each giving another its purpose and form. Every anecdote spells out Inez’s love for what she does, and this piece has been so refreshing to work on! Link in bio to read on blurb magazine! 🐠🦀🐡

brb❕❕

The team bids 2020 goodbye with lots of gratitude and thanks for our readers and community of creators that we’ve built. So many opportunities have been made possible due to your support and we are so grateful!

As we enter the new year, the blurb team got together and discussed how we ought to repay this. One thing is to refocus and realign our direction as a magazine and collective such that we continue to deliver better, thoughtful and more intentional content.

For now, fortnightly publications will be on hold as blurb undergoes a little revamp — more details on this will be shared very soon~

Thank you for sticking on this journey with us - as a reader, creative, and fellow human with an appreciation for art and the interesting things that surround us - we promise a lot of new and exciting content that stays true to the blurb ethos of fun! Stay tuned 💛
