Originaire du Ghana, Danny Manu sort un nouveau type d'écouteurs appelés Titan. La société mère de Mymanu, C.E.H., a révélé cette dernière invention au CES de Las Vegas 2022. L’appareil est capable de passer et de recevoir des appels et des SMS en 4G, même si votre smartphone se trouve à des centaines de kilomètres. Bien avant ça il a aussi inventé les écouteurs de traduction sans fil Mymanu CLIK + et Mymanu CLIK S.

william sachiti the revelation of artificial intelligence.
Born in Zimbabwe in 1985, william sachiti is an expert in artificial intelligence and robotics.
While in college, he was credited with inventing the world's first artificially intelligent robotic librarian, Hugh (robot). The robot was capable of holding a conversation or taking verbal commands and would be able to direct users to any of the library's several million books.In 2016, after receiving a check for £10,000 from Aberystwyth University, Sachiti founded the Academy of Robotics, a vehicle manufacturing company to develop Kar-go. Kar-go is a driverless car capable of delivering multiple packages using a combination of advanced robotics and driverless vehicle technology. Later, the company went on to raise more funds from venture capital for an initial valuation of £2 million. Kar-go has been nominated for several awards and has a production facility in Small Dole near Brighton in the UK.

Who is Virgil Abloh?
Born on September 30, 1980 in the USA, Virgil Abloh was the son of Ghanaian immigrants and the first black designer to be recognized in the world of high fashion.
Spotted by the rapper Kanye West, he became his Artistic Director and found himself propelled to the forefront of the scene. He joined Louis Vuitton in 2018. True to his passion for hip hop, he launched Off-White, a luxury streetwear brand. He was the first black designer to reach the top of high fashion by becoming the director of Louis Vuitton's men's collections.
Virgil Abloh has never forgotten his African origins because in 2021 he brought Ghanaian Kente to the stage.
He died on November 28, 2021 of cancer and leaves behind a wife and two young children.
He leaves but his works remain and will continue to inspire generations.

Born on August 5, 1946 in Washington, D.C., Shirley Ann Jackson was a young girl determined to study despite racial segregation. In 1973, she became the first African-American woman to earn a Ph.D. from MIT and the second in physics in the United States. She actively contributed to the invention of the touch screen telephone, the development of voltaic panels, and especially fiber optics which allows us today to have a good internet connection. She also developed the identification of incoming calls from our phones.
In 2016, she was awarded the National Medal of Science (the highest scientific distinction in the USA) by President OBAMA..

Née le 5 août 1946 à Washington, Shirley Ann Jackson malgré la ségrégation raciale était une jeune fille déterminée pour les études. Dans sa détermination pour les études, elle devient, en 1973 la première femme afro-américaine à obtenir un Ph D du MIT et la deuxième en physique aux USA.

The Mother of the GPS System
Born in 1930 in Virginia, Gladys West was a black American from a farming family.
Although there were few opportunities for African-Americans at the time, she never stopped striving for a better life and soon realized that education was the only way to escape the farm life that did not suit her. After receiving a scholarship for finishing first in her high school class, she continued her studies and earned a master's degree in mathematics. In 1956, she began working at Division ,where she was not only the second black woman to be employed as a programmer but the one who developed the system.
Thanks to her, today we can share our location with our friends, family and we can find addresses with a click.

A legend during his lifetime, he was and remains the most famous reggae singer in the world. Born on February 6, 1945 in Jamaica, Bob Marley was committed to denounce "those who try to make this world bad".
So where did Bob Marley learn about the Rastafari movement?
Marley discovered the Rastafari movement during the official visit of Haile Selassie, King of Ethiopia, to Jamaica in 1966, when the monarch was welcomed like a living god by the crowd. On this occasion, the singer adopted the Rasta philosophy which advocates pride and a dignified place for the black man in society.
Even after his death he continues to make Jamaican music known, especially Reggae.

Folorunsho Alakija, Outside Nigeria, many people do not know it.
So who is Folorunsho Alakija?
Born on July 15, 1951 in Ikorodu, Nigeria, Folorunsho is a Nigerian businesswoman who made her fortune in the oil sector.
After her studies in Wales, Alakija returned to Nigeria where she worked as a simple secretary for a local bank. But after the bank closed due to bankruptcy, she returned to London to study fashion design. After graduation she launched her own clothing line called Supreme Stitches which won her the award for Best Designer in Nigeria in 1986.
In the early 1990's, she used her financial success and fame gained in the fashion industry to apply for an oil exploration license from the Nigerian government.
Although prospecting was expensive and risky at the time, she perched and eventually obtained a plot. After hiring the oil conglomerate Texaco for research, they discovered that Alakija had about 1 billion barrels of oil.
After this discovery, the Nigerian government announces that it revokes Alakija's rights to 90% of its plots. Except that Alakija is a fighter like all black women and she manages to recover all these parcels after 12 long years of legal trials and battles with the government. Those who instantly increase her multi-billion dollar net worth propel her as one of the richest Black women in the world.
Today these businesses are run by her sons and husband Modupe Alakija.
She created her Lagos-based foundation called La Rose Of Sharon Fundation to support orphans, widows and others in need around the world.

Maybe you don't know her but here is your chance to discover the first black woman from the Quebec government.
Born on November 21, 1977 in Montreal, Yolande James is a black politician. After her graduate studies and a law internship at the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services, she was elected MNA for Nelligan in March 20, 2004 by-election and was re-elected in the general elections of March 26, 2007 and December 8, 2008 for the 38th and 39th legislatures. She was appointed Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities on April 18, 2007 by Premier Jean Charest and holds this position until August 10, 2010. As the first black woman in the Quebec government, she left her mark by redesigning the governance of subsidized childcare, a service of paramount importance to working families. She also served as Deputy House Leader for the Official Opposition from 2012 to 2013.
Ms. James founded the Valorisation Jeunesse program, which provides young people with access to professional employment opportunities and promotes a more diverse workforce in businesses.

The International Women's Rights Day recognized in 1977 by the UN and other international institutions, is an initiative that advocates the empowerment of women and gender equality.
Since the establishment of this day (08 March), the situation of women has changed, including black women who were once marginalized. Today we come across Black women leading global organizations, government, large entreprises and countries.
The theme of this year's celebration is "Female Leadership: For an Equal Future in the World of Covid-19".

Did you know who is behind the traffic lights?
In the 20th century, Garrett A. Morgan (March 4, 1877 in the USA) African-American inventor after witnessing an accident killing a little girl, decided to invent something to make traffic safer. He came up with a foldable electric traffic light with “GO” signs to indicate a free passage and “STOP” to indicate a stop. This invention made it possible not only to regulate the circulation of pedestrians and vehicles but to reassure users and lighten the police’ s tasks.
