I wanted to write one of those motivational quotes but I believe the pictures do the work for me.

I have had the second picture saved on my phone for a long time. When I first saved it, I tried it and well, my core wasn't strong enough. I had totally forgotten about it until recently. And I decided to try again and there you go.

Practice = Progress.

You get what you work for.

I used to be an avid day dreamer, I think even till now. And it used to be really comfortable to slip into that space when reality was kicking my behind. However I was beginning to spend more time in La la land than in reality trying to fix up. And it showed.

I had to give myself brain and find a balance. Have confessions, words of affirmations, practice the law of attraction. All that is really cool, but make you're working towards that dreamy future you keep escaping to.

Work for it.

Malasana aka Yogic Squat or Garland Pose is an Intermediate pose, yes but it can be modified to suit whatever level you're at right now.
It's a very effective hip opener so you might want to save this if you've got flexibility goals.

If there's anything I want you to keep in mind always, it's to take the time to make your soul happy.

Yes, chase and smash those goals. But don't give in to the pressure. There is always going to be pressure. Towards the end of the year, it was pressure of not having accomplished as much as we'd like. In the new year, there's already pressure.

Day 2 of featuring this variation of the Wheel.

So, relationships, I started out single, got into a relationship and am ending the year single. This part needs a little backstory. In the previous year, I fell hard for an unavailable person and it didn't end well. My trauma response was to choose someone who I didn't like as much, who liked me way more than I did them. That had to end.

My takeaway from all of this was while the first situation was unfortunately, falling in love was not the problem, who I fell in love was just not the right fit.

Starting off Day 1 of alottoreflect with this Wide Legged Forward Fold.

I did a lot of introspection this way, the hard job of looking inwards and calling myself out. It enabled me notice harmful patterns that were actually a trauma response. How I relished being and declaring myself a loner, a coping mechanism for making sure no one ever leaves.
Afterall, how can they leave if they were never there.

It's the last day and I am not a loner, not really. I need people, I'm just scared of having them walk away from me.

This month, I'm thankful for life.

I'd been so swamped with very wild stuff and been so downcast. But then the Holy Spirit was like, "Remember when you constantly thought of offing yourself". And Oh my God! Because it's so true.

I never had the balls to actually take a step towards it, but my days used to be filled with a lot of fantasizing about making it happen or it just happening. I'd say desperate prayers before going to bed about slipping into oblivion and not waking up the next day.

So today, I'm grateful for the will to live. To be sad, angry, frustrated and still be able to say, "tomorrow is another day".
