What a way to start out a Monday by announcing our new podcast series: Imagistormin' in the Morning!

Hosted by our head of sound design, David Brown takes a weekly deep dive in topics relevant to the indie film and music industries.

Last, but certainly not least, is Chance England! Chance is another one of our writers and incredibly valuable partner to the Imagistorm Team.

Born in Nashville, Tennessee. Growing up I quickly learned I had a talent for acting. From faking one sick day to another in school, the teachers quickly caught on to my shenanigans. With many pushing me to go to acting schools. In school, I quickly landed lead roles in theatre. Be it from Shakespeare to original plays.

However, due to unfortunate circumstances I dropped out of public school and was home schooled. Where my social life and mental health took a turn for the worst.
That's when my heart took to writing. Being able to escape into these beautiful worlds I created helped in the loneliest of days.

Eventually, I ended up in Japan at 18. A last ditch effort to break me out of my shell after years of seclusion. My experiences there helped forge me into the man I am today. Thanks to writing and constantly trying to improve my vocabulary I was able to respectfully teach locals English while also learning Japanese in the process. An experience that was unforgettable.

A few months later a wind would blow me to Australia. Where I lived for two years. Another growing experience where I would eventually end up directionless. Losing my sense of self.

That's when I met Justin. A stranger that I trusted on a whim, who has now become more than family to me. He reignited my love for acting and writing, and now, here I am. Hoping that I create stories you come to love, and playing characters you'll come to cherish.

It's Monday! Which means we are continuing our team introductions with our head of all things, hair, makeup and costume design, Abby Minor!

Small town theatre-kid from Cape Girardeau, MO turned into “The Behind the Scenes Queen!” I am a pro-published hair, make up, and wardrobe artist based in Nashville, TN. Specializing in film, fashion, special fx, bridal, and fantasy.
From a young age I always enjoyed playing dress up and putting on a show. As I got older my passions turned to acting for an agency, attending as well as participating in all things theatre, and modeling prom gowns for local boutiques. Senior year I decided to pursue my dream of becoming an actor and moved to Nashville - ready to take on the city as a young acting major.
Although I enjoyed acting, I found that creating looks and doing make up for the college theatre ignited a flame inside of me; I knew I was meant to CREATE. I then attended The Academy of Make Up Arts and became a certified hair and make up artist in 2017. I was one of the lucky few students to be flown out to LA to participate in Battle of the Brushes where only 7 artists in the world are chosen to participate which pushed me even further.
Now I have worked on music videos for people like Angela Primm, The Steel Blossoms, JP Clardy, The Bad Hats, and over a dozen more amazing artists all over the US. My most exciting project this year was DOMME - out on Amazon prime now. I am lucky enough to work with some of the most amazing and talented creatives in Nashville - this includes Sophia Angeles, The Taylor’s, Schelton Photo, Hanna Bee, Doug Littlejohn Photo, Costumes Couture, Mystiik Styles, Sebastion Smith, and the list goes on! I believe I am truly blessed and living my dream every day.

Next up in our team intros is our head of sound design and in-house composer, David Brown!

"I started as a simple band kid in middle school playing the trumpet. What began as a hobby soon turned into an obsession. Playing, singing, and writing is all I wanted to do. I joined the Air Force after high school as a Radio Technician but still managed to perform in a few military ensembles. The military and music are the only reasons I managed to further my education and move from my small hometown in Mississippi.

After working on my Music Education degree, I flew across the country to work with publishers and producers in Los Angeles, CA. While I was there, I got my first taste of movie making by working on a project with Hollywood Casting and Film. I spearheaded sound design and composition for the first time and I fell in love with it.

There is no better feeling than breathing life into an idea through the power of music."

Hey everyone! Allie here, and it's my turn for an introduction!

With a background in music education, sales and marketing, you could say I have a unique, yet diverse, skillset. On set, I act as first AD and producer, while I'm everywhere else, I spearhead all things marketing for Imagistorm.

Bringing a face to Justin's incredible stories and characters is probably the most fun thing I get to do every day. Never in a million years could you have told me I would be doing this (mainly because I decided when I was 12 I was going to be a band director my entire life... lol).

It's that time! We're going to take some time over the next few days to introduce our team, talk about their roles with Imagistorm and share updates about their upcoming projects!

So naturally, we are going to begin with the reason we are all here, Justin James. Imagistorm began as a dream for him back in 2013 while he was studying Film at the State Univeristy of New York @ Oswego (SUNY Oswego for short 😉).

After concluding his studies at SUNY Oswego, Justin moved to Nashville, TN in March of 2018. He hit the ground running bringing his feature-length and short film projects to life.

The Ascendants is another one of Justin's original stories, told over 5 seasons and a feature film, we are beyond excited to get rolling on early next Spring.
