FOR GENUINE TRANSFORMATION, UNITY, PEACE AND DEMOCRACY, THE FILIPINO PEOPLE STAND TODAY WITH PRIDE AND CONVICTION FOR FLAG SOLIDARITY IN CELEBRATION OF THE 126TH YEAR OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE....
As our country wallows in the midst of political turmoil, economic difficulties, the manifest madness of the government for a "looming war" versus China, abuse of public funds and corruption, the Marcos Jr. Government is now brazenly resorting to open AUTHORITARIANISM and NAKED DISPLAY OF STATE FASCISM AND TERRORISM in order to suppress any sign and form of political dissent and criticism against the administration of Marcos Jr.
As a sign of People's Solidarity on this day of our country's INDEPENDENCE, all freedom-loving Filipinos are requested to join today in symbolic FLAG SOLIDARITY DAY with our call: "PAG-AALAY NG MGA MAMAMAYAN PARA SA TUNAY NA KALAYAAN NG INANG BAYAN", from 7am to 9am, ... and our FLAG SOLIDARITY shall be conducted by waving the Philippine FLAG in our homes, in public parks, in all places where each of us may be present, in small groups, alongside our FLAG SOLIDARITY FOR UNITY, TRANSFORMATION, DEMOCRACY AND PEACE; and we shall wear white T-Shirts, and sing in unison, the patriotic song PILIPINAS KONG MAHAL.
AMONG THE VENUES OF THE FLAG SOLIDARITY FOR TODAY will be at the historic PLAZA MIRANDA, in front of Quiapo Church, and at Malolos Bulacan historic BARASOIN CHURCH where our Philippine Republic was originally established during the Philippine Revolution in the KATIPUNAN years.
