“The Memories Between Us” waves between the borders of modern classical and experimental ambient music. The soundtrack, created by Marko Zoric and Edoardo Gastaldi, brings about and delves into some of the fundamental themes of human life.
The idea behind the music is that the interconnection between the paths of different persons acts as inspirational canvas for the creation of memories - the motion of people represents a discrete pathway that, while moving, intersects other destinies and thus forms new memories.
For as long as we keep interacting and living with each other, both the future and especially the past will be ever changing, always moving.
So as life converges towards a known end, what we leave behind diverges into infinite forms. Remembrance. Ultimately memories become all that is left, and our past becomes the key connection between ourselves and what we want to leave, our legacy to the loved ones.
Memories affect us, in the ways we behave and the ways we create. And music, it can bring us back to the moment when memories first happened.
