I was at work when a courier dropped off a package. It was from my father.

Inside was a family photo and a letter: "My dear son, if you received this, it means I am NO LONGER ALIVE. Forgive me for everything. Please come to my funeral. It will take place on December 25th. With love, Dad."

It was so unexpected and shocking! Tears ran down my cheeks.

Fast forward a few days, and all relatives were at the cemetery. My siblings, their spouses, the kids, my father's second wife with our half-brothers and half-sisters—everyone was there. We haven't spoken to my father’s second family all these years after my mother died and he got married again. Now we all cried, standing around the grave.

But then something strange happened. A cemetery worker walked up, fumbled with the coffin’s locks, and opened the lid.

THE COFFIN WAS EMPTY.

"Where is the body of my father? We want to see him!" I raised my voice.
