In connection to the murder of Wardell Mitchell, Corey Ferguson, 29, turned himself in.

Mitchell was found dead on Malibu Street. Ferguson, facing robbery and murder charges, becomes the second arrest, following alleged accomplice Antonio Postell's capture in March.

No motive was initially apparent, yet intriguingly, around $1,500 cash was discovered in the victim's wallet. Moreover, revelations of the victim's sizeable drug trade, estimated at $10,000 weekly, hint at a potentially targeted crime, casting a shadow over whether this was an attempted robbery.

A 21-year-old woman from Florida was taken into custody on following accusations of causing the death of her boyfriend. The incident occurred after an argument about undelivered packages, resulting in the boyfriend sustaining a fatal injury from a kitchen knife described as a "stab-type" wound. Orange County deputies reported that Nathalie Ruth Moise, facing second-degree murder charges, allegedly stabbed Angelo Dessiant within the confines of their apartment. This living space was shared by them, along with their one-year-old daughter and Dessiant's aunt.

During the altercation, a friend of Dessiant's was present but left the apartment as the argument escalated. Upon returning to the scene later, Dessiant asked his friend to photograph the wound on his chest. In an attempt to escape, Dessiant fled but tripped and fell in the hallway, where he was discovered by law enforcement officers. Tragically, he passed away shortly after being taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Two 17-year-olds have been charged by the St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in connection with the fatal shooting of a 64-year-old man within a local subdivision.

The lifeless body of Roy Cedric Nash, aged 64, was discovered in the front yard of a residence on Willow Oak Drive in the 1800 block on Thursday morning.

Verjulia Watkins and her partner, Damontaye Perkins, were swiftly apprehended and detained by authorities within a mere four hours of the incident. The rapid resolution of the case was attributed to the substantial presence of surveillance equipment installed by vigilant community members in the neighborhood. Captain Ray Juengst of the St. Charles Police Department highlighted the crucial role played by the community's proactive engagement and monitoring.

Police have determined that Watkins and Perkins conspired and executed the murder of Nash after a series of prolonged disputes, as stated by Lt. Tom Wilkison.

It was revealed that Watkins is, in fact, Nash's granddaughter.

Perkins is facing multiple charges, including second-degree murder, armed criminal action, motor vehicle theft, and tampering with evidence. His bond has been set at $250,000 to be paid exclusively in cash.

Similarly, Watkins faces charges of motor vehicle theft, personal property theft, and tampering with evidence. Her bond stands at $50,000 cash-only.

St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar expressed unwavering confidence in securing convictions in this case.

Lohmar hinted at the possibility of escalating charges for one or both of the individuals involved, while maintaining the readiness to proceed with the trial if circumstances demanded, thanks to the substantial progress made within the first 24 hours of the investigation.

Not only did John Stabile confess to the murder of a homeless man when questioned by investigators, he went on to give a gripping account of how he came to thet point, expressing an earnest desire to spend the rest of his life in jail. If not incarcerated, he claimed he would kill again, according to the sheriff's office. Stabile admitted to murdering a 42-year-old homeless man in an alley between Rattlesnake Jake's restaurant and the Sea Girl clothing shop. He waited for the victim to pass away before notifying the authorities, as per the sheriff's office statement.

Despite denying any prior acquaintance or conflict with the victim, Stabile acknowledged seeing him in the area and having contemplated his murder for a couple of weeks.

The suspect informed detectives that he encountered the victim on Saturday morning, armed himself and set out to find and kill him, as stated by the police.

Stabile, who is facing charges of first-degree murder, is currently detained.

Stabile's uncle, Angelo Saccente of Seldin, Long Island, shared that Stabile was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2009 following his mother's su***de. He mentioned that Stabile has been in and out of mental health facilities since then. Two years ago, he relocated to Deerfield Beach to be closer to his father.

"I'm in disbelief," expressed Saccente to the newspaper. "He's not a bad kid. There's another side to the story of why Johnny did what he did."

The uncle further revealed that Stabile "imagines people are pursuing him," and added, "It's unfortunate what he did. He simply needs his medication. We feel immense sorrow—for the victim."

Gretchen Stoughton Anthony, from Jupiter, Florida, was tragically murdered by her estranged husband, David Ethan Anthony, on March 21, 2020. The incident occurred after David attempted to persuade Gretchen to flee to Costa Rica with him to escape the COVID-19 pandemic, but she declined. David entered Gretchen's house in Abacoa, Florida, and fatally stabbed her in the garage. He then disposed of her body in a nearby wooded area and fled the state.

Less than a week later, David Anthony was apprehended in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Initially charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping, the charges were later reduced to second-degree murder and kidnapping after he revealed the location of Gretchen's body. Pursuant to a plea agreement, David Anthony was sentenced to 38 years in prison on January 14, 2021.

Gretchen Stoughton Anthony, born Gretchen Stoughton Crain on January 8, 1969, was 51 years old at the time of her murder. She had a 12-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. David Ethan Anthony, previously known as David Anthony Deutsch, was a gym trainer with a troubled past, including a prior jail stint for a sq**rt gun robbery and assault on a police officer. He was 44 years old at the time of the crime.

Gretchen and David had been married in Las Vegas in March 2015 but separated in late 2019 and filed for divorce on February 28, 2020. David, convinced that the COVID-19 pandemic signaled the end of the world, unsuccessfully tried to convince Gretchen to escape to Costa Rica.

In the days leading up to the murder, David had been involved in disturbing incidents, such as following teenage girls and assaulting a police officer. He was briefly jailed and released just three days before Gretchen's murder. Surveillance footage captured David entering Gretchen's home in dark attire and loading items into her car. Gretchen's struggle was evident from broken items and a stained towel found in her home.

Gretchen's disappearance came to light when she failed to meet a friend for lunch and didn't show up for work. Law enforcement discovered signs of a struggle during a search of her home. David initially claimed that Gretchen was infected with COVID-19 and receiving treatment at a non-existent CDC facility in Belle Glade, Florida. Text messages and emails, supposedly from Gretchen, supported his claims. However, the investigation eventually led to David's arrest in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he was charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.

During the plea agreement process, David initially maintained that Gretchen was alive and on the run due to uncovering illegal activities. However, he later confessed to stabbing her in the garage and disposing of her body near her house. Gretchen's remains were discovered on December 21, 2020, behind a Walmart and near a retirement home.

At the sentencing hearing, David Anthony attributed his crime, in part, to the COVID-19 pandemic, viewing it as an impending apocalypse from which he needed to escape. He also had a history of bipolar disorder. As per the conditions of his plea agreement, David Anthony was sentenced to 38 years in prison on January 14, 2021.

A 51-year-old woman was taken into custody after allegedly shooting a 21-year-old woman and disposing of her body in her own driveway in Florida following a night out.

Yvonne Serrano contacted the police at 5:55 am on Saturday to report a deceased woman in front of her residence in Coral Springs. Initially, she claimed not to know Daniela Tabares Maya, but later admitted that she did. Upon investigation, police found Maya's body lying on her back in a Nissan Kicks SUV with a gunshot wound to her forehead.

According to an affidavit, Serrano and Maya, along with a group of acquaintances from Training For Warriors Coral Springs, a local gym, had watched the movie "21 Bridges," starring Chadwick Boseman, at Silverspot Cinema around 7:30 pm before heading to the World of Beer pub.

The court document stated that Serrano and Maya were engaged in conversation, laughter, and drinking for several hours. A friend of Maya received a text from her at 1:25 am, stating, "I'm taking Yvonne home." Surveillance footage captured Serrano and Maya leaving the pub together, and additional footage showed them arriving at Serrano's residence at 2 am.

When detectives arrived at the scene later that morning, Serrano claimed to have left her Maplewood Isles home on Northwest 100th Drive to go to the gym but immediately called the police upon discovering the body. She stated that she had blacked out at the World of Beer and had no recollection of how she got home. However, Serrano later changed her statement, informing detectives that she woke up sitting in the passenger seat of Maya's car. Serrano also disclosed that she had seen the movie "21 Bridges" with Maya and their gym acquaintances earlier in the evening. Maya's cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the forehead outside Serrano's home. Initially, Serrano denied knowing the victim, but later contradicted herself. Investigators found that she had recently washed a blood-stained dark tank top and deleted Ring video footage recorded by a smart doorbell.

Serrano possesses a concealed carry permit and owns three handguns, including two 9mm pistols and one .45 caliber firearm. She informed the police that she had taken her Sig Sauer P365, which fires 9mm rounds, to the pub. The Sig Sauer and its holster were found to have bloodstains. The shell casing discovered outside Maya's Nissan matched a 9mm round.

Serrano has been charged with second-degree murder and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. According to a neighbor, Serrano is known for her heavy drinking habits.

At the age of 11, Murray was arrested trying to flee from his abusive father and has since spent nearly half his life incarcerated. Unfortunately, he will never be released.

Their paths crossed during a tumultuous time in Murray's life when many had lost hope in him and he was struggling to stay on track. On April 10, 2016, while Robert (Father Rene) was attempting to assist him, Murray instructed him to enter the trunk of his vehicle.

During the court proceedings, Murray's lawyer, Adam Levin, highlighted how those who should have protected him failed him from an early age. Levin explained that Murray had developmental delays and was intellectually challenged with an IQ of 68 at the age of six. Murray sought medical attention in an emergency room not long before he killed Robert, trying to cope with the demons of his past. Murray is accused of murdering the Reverend Rene Robert, a 71-year-old from St. Augustine who he met through a girlfriend. According to previous reports, Robert lent Murray his vehicle on April 10, and later agreed to go for a ride with him.

While driving Robert's car, Murray was spotted in Aiken near Snipes Pond and Wire Roads, but he crashed the vehicle in an attempt to evade the authorities. Robert was dedicated to helping individuals like Murray, who were on the outskirts of society and frequently imprisoned.

Additionally, Robert was a fervent supporter of the abolition of the death penalty. In 1995, he signed a Declaration of Life, stating that if he were ever killed, his murderer should not face capital punishment.

Their paths crossed during a difficult time in Murray's life when many had given up on him, and he was spiraling out of control. On April 10, 2016, while Robert was attempting to assist him, Murray instructed him to enter the trunk of his vehicle. Murray subsequently drove Robert to the Georgia woods after traveling for long periods through South Carolina and Georgia to visit family.

Murray shot Robert in the left side, and when he fell to the ground, Murray fired the gun into his head. The following day, Murray fled from the authorities in a high-speed chase. He was eventually apprehended in South Carolina after being tracked down in the woods.

After admitting to 4 counts of attempted lewd and lascivious molestation of children under 12 years old, Asher Syed Yaseen, a former substitute teacher at several elementary schools including Boggy Creek, Ventura, and Pleasant Hill, was sentenced to 8 years in prison and ordered to pay $2676 in court costs.

Yaseen waived his right to trial and was designated a s*xual predator. Upon release, he will be deported. Yaseen's victims, 9 girls between the ages of 6 and 8, came forward over two years ago. Evidence presented in court included Yaseen's admission of molesting children at other schools and his statement of finding the children "attractive and beautiful."

Yaseen was first arrested in March of 2019 when he was 19 years old, and in January of an undisclosed year, he wrote a letter to a judge in which he claimed to be a "descendant of a spirit created from fire" and expressed a desire to "collect souls of the innocent."

In 2021, Ryan Stroup met Tina Goad at a bar before kidnapping and fatally shooting her. Prosecutors revealed that Stroup did not know Goad's name. In an effort to avoid a trial, Stroup entered into a plea agreement, receiving a life sentence with a minimum of 52 1/2 years in prison before parole eligibility. He pleaded guilty to several charges, including aggravated murder, kidnapping, and tampering with evidence.

During the hearing, County Prosecutor Christopher Tunnell recounted Stroup's actions, describing how he left Goad's body in a wooded area before fleeing to a Cleveland motel. Detectives later found the murder weapon in the motel, where Stroup was also interviewed. He eventually led law enforcement to Goad's body. Tunnell also revealed that Stroup had a previous civil protection order against him before his encounter with Goad.

At the court hearing, Goad's sister Trisha Kareff spoke about the devastating impact of her sister's death on their family. She described the agonizing days leading up to the discovery of Goad's body and the toll it took on her and her family. Goad was a single mother of three, and her eldest child was 24 years old.

Before his sentencing, Stroup apologized for his actions and expressed remorse for taking Goad away from her loved ones. He stated that he hoped to seek help for his alcohol abuse and mental health issues while in prison and obtain a job. Stroup also acknowledged that Goad's family deserved closure and justice.

After Stroup was escorted out of the courtroom, Goad and Stroup's family members left, with Kareff expressing disbelief that such a tragedy could happen to her family.

Stephen Budd, a former teacher at Rosarian Academy Elementary School who was accused of child molestation, has been convicted on all charges.

In 2006, two fourth-grade girls reported that Budd had given them candy in exchange for s*xual favors.

The incidents took place in 2003 when Budd was their homeroom teacher. The victims, who are now adults, were 9 years old at the time. Budd used a classroom reward system called "Budd Bucks" or candy to reward his student victims for the s*xual acts. Budd had no prior criminal history and had been working with adult students at South Tech Academy in Boynton Beach.

During the trial, the young woman repeatedly confronted Budd with accusations that he molested her and showed his p***s to the girls on many occasions. Budd denied all allegations. The case involved graphic testimony from former fourth-grade students and secretly recorded phone calls between Budd and his accusers.

A former classmate of the accusers testified that they had told her about Budd exposing himself while they sat under his desk. Budd, 53, has been sentenced to three consecutive life sentences, as well as another 15 years.
