Diane Marie Schulte went missing from her home on Delaware Ave on 3/25/1977 from Nampa, Idaho. She left her wallet containing money, wedding ring and her car in the driveway at her home. Diane enjoyed reading and she would walk to the library that was approximately a 2 minute walk from her home.
Diane was married to Fred Schulte at the time of her disappearance and they had a good relationship according to those that lived close to the couple. Fred agreed to take a polygraph test about his wife’s, however Fred took his own life on 4/3/1977 before the test could be done. Law enforcement does not consider him a suspect in Diane’s disappearance.
Researching Lance Jeffrey Voss and the areas he lived, the people that he knew in those areas and the cold cases and missing persons in those areas, Diane Marie Schulte’s case was looked at as her being a possible victim. Voss has a history of being an avid reader since he was a young man and frequented libraries and at the time of Diane’s disappearance he was living in Melba, Idaho and his childhood friend had a mechanic shop in Nampa, Idaho not far from the library and Diane’s home on Delaware Ave in Nampa. Voss was also attending college in Boise, Idaho at this time.

Diane was last seen at her home on Delaware Avenue in Nampa, Idaho on the morning of 3/25/77. All of her belongings including her car, purse and wedding ring were left at her home. The mail and a UPS package were delivered to her home and unopened. Diane was married to husband Fred for two years prior to her disappearance and was estranged from her parents. She enjoyed reading and would walk to the library that was near her home.
