Indonesian Electric Vehicle Mega Project Begins.

Electric Car Charger Equipment Project
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has authorized three types of plugs for the Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) for battery-based electric motorized vehicles (KBL).

The three types of plugs that will be applied to each SPKLU consist of Type 2 AC Charging, DC Charging CHAdeMo, and DC Charging Combo Type CCS2.

Previously, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said that it had a road map for the development of the number of SPKLUs in Indonesia.
From 62 units in 37 locations, there will be thousands.
In 2025 it is targeted that 2,465 units will be installed, then in 2030 there will be 7,146 SPKLU units installed.

For DC Charging Combo Type CCS2, which is a combination with the fast charging category commonly used by electric cars in Europe.

LNG STORAGE PROJECT

In order to enhance the supply of LNG and natural gas in East Java, PGN LNG (State Owned Company) is planning to set up a permanent LNG Onshore Storage Tank in Sura­baya, East Java ("Development").

The scope of the Development is to build a Flat Bottom SS Double Wall Full Containment type and its re­lated major equipment with details as stipulated in Scope of Reference.

PGN LNG is currently in the process of obtaining Final Investment De­cision for the Development.

WAREN NEW DERMAGA IN PAPUA

The Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, through the Office of the Port Management Unit (UPP) Waren, recorded achievements by successfully conducting trials and providing services for the first loading and unloading of large container ships weighing GT. 5,000 at the Port of Waren, Papua.
Head of the UPP Class III Waren Office, Nurdin Marpaung, said the container ship with a weight of 5,000 gross tonnage (GT), namely KM. Kisik Mas, successfully docked at Waren Papua Port and became the first large ship to unload by unloading 16 units of Sea Highway containers.
So far, big ships like KM. Kisik Mas is about 109 meters long and weighs 5000 GT. If you want to unload goods in the Waropen area, you can only go through Serui Port or Biak Port.
And this makes the price of the goods expensive.

PALM PLANTATION IN INDONESIA HARVEST HIGH PROFIT YIELD

Yah... during pendemic, the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price still always keep high.
Lucky for Indonesia as biggest CPO producer in the world.

This CPO high price trend looks like will going durther in 2021.
Indonesia government worry that in 2021, the CPO index price jump too high. So government plan to put more export dutty if the price soar higher and higher later on.

So it will secure the domestic supply, especially for food, food industry, and biodiesel.

PATIMBAN CAR TERMINAL

Indonesia Government successfully develop new port to anticipate the overload of existing Tanjung Priok Port (Jakarta) as the export import gateway.

This new port namely Patimban, located in Subang Regency (West Java Province) about 3.5 hours drive from Jakarta City.

The Patimban Car Terminal and Car Berth areas, one of the facility in this new port, which construction progress has reached 92%.
This car terminal has a dock measuring 350 meters x 33 meters with a capacity of 218,000 Completed Built Unit.

This Car Terminal area built by the Penta-Rinkai-TOA-PP-WIKA Consortium is expected to have a soft opening in November this year.
The scope of work carried out by the consortium includes, among others, Car Berth, Container Bert, Car Terminal, Temporary Admin Area & Temporary Car Terminal, Truck Waiting Area, Container Terminal, Rack Work - North Bund, Utility Building Work, Temporary Admin Building Work, and access area.
In addition to the Terminal construction project work in Package 1, the Company and WIKA are building a 1 kilometer connecting bridge with a target of completion of the work in December 2021.

The Indonesia Minister of Transportation, ceremonial release the Kalimantan II ship which carried out a dock test at the Patimban Port dock.

INDONESIA RENEWABLE ENERGY (HYDRO POWER PLANT)

The Poso-1 Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) Development Project with a capacity of 4 x 30 MW is an extension program of PLTA Poso (3 x 65 MW) which has been operating since 2012.

The Poso-1 hydropower project is located in the Poso River, Sulewana Village, Kec. Pamona Utara, Kab. Poso, Central Sulawesi, is targeted for COD in September 2019 based on the 2019-2028 PLN Working Plant.
However, due to various obstacles in the field as well as the Covid-19 Pandemic, the COD target is postponed until Q1 2021.

IPP
This Independent Power Producers (IPP) hydropower in Poso area, developed by PT. Poso Energy is a combination of the existing PLTA Poso with a capacity of 3x65 MW (which has been operating since 2012), then soon PLTA Poso Extension phase 1 (4x30) MW and later PLTA Poso Extension phase 2 (4x50 MW).

These three power plants are planned as peaker plants, with a total capacity of 515 MW.
The peaker plant means will be operated only during peak load times, namely 17.00 to 22.00, with an Exclusive Commited Energy of 1,669 GWh per year.
The total investment value is about US $ 810 million.

WEST KARIAN (PPP) PROJECT

Indonesia Ministry of Public Work, preparing for Infrastructure Financing of the West Karian Raw Water Carrier PPP Project.

The Global Competitiveness Report, which is a study issued by the World Economic Forum, places Indonesia in 74th place in the Reliability of Water Supply Indonesia category.

In the 2020-2024 National Development Planning, for the Infrastructure Expenditure needs of IDR 6,445 trillion, while the Government Budget capacity is only IDR 2,385 trillion. Meaning there is a gap of IDR 4,060 trillion or 63%.

Regarding Water Resources Infrastructure, the availability of national raw water can only cover 30% of the total national demand. So it is inevitable that groundwater exploitation will still occur on a large scale.

The West Karian Raw Water Carrier PPP Project, is a raw water supply infrastructure that will be built in Serang Regency, Banten and will provide benefits to Serang Regency, Serang City and Cilegon City.

Currently, the existing production in the service area is only 792 lt / second.
In fact, based on the projection, 2,139 lt / second raw water is needed in 2020, and it will increase to 6,887 l / second in 2040.

So to pursue this demand, the West Karian Raw Water Carrier PPP Project is planned to be able to provide raw water of 1,500 l / second. For which will be distributed in details, namely 700 l / second to Serang Regency, 300 l / second to Serang City, and 500 lt / second to Cilegon City. .

The progress of the construction of the West Karian Dam as a water source has now reached 70% with a total capacity of 314.7 million m3.
The dam is expected to be ready to operate in 2024 and will provide raw water for 1,080,000 million people in the Serang Regency and Cilegon City Areas.

So when the dam is ready, the infrastructure for the Raw Water Carrier as distribution infrastructure must be prepared, with the PPP scheme of Government Cooperation with Business Entities.

PT Tempuran Pelayaran Emas Tbk (TMAS) as one of the biggest containership flagship owners in indonesia, has added two brand-new fleets recently.

RAILWAY PROJECT IN SULAWESI ISLAND

Sulawesi Island located at Eastern side of Indonesia.
it is very rich in nickel deposit and also know for its cocoa quality.
And also for its fishery and others agro products output.
Makassar is the Capital of South Sulawesi Province and also as the busiest logistic port hub for eastern Indonesia.

So it is a plan for Indonesia government to build a mass trans Sulawesi railway transportation at west side of the island.
The Makassar – Parepare 144 km railway project is part of the Trans Sulawesi railway network that will connect the entire Sulawesi Island.
The project value is about IDR 8.2 Trillion equivalent to US$ 500 million

As the initial, The Trans Makassar-Parepare Railway project, which crosses Pangkep Regency and Maros Regency, is targeted for completion in 2021.
The overall the Trans Makassar - Parepare Railway Project can operate in 2022, but the part of the construction (the railway line in Pangkep - Maros) is targeted to be completed sooner in 2021.

COAL TRANSHIPMENT
Mostly Indonesia coal has to be transhipped in the middle of the sea, to load into the big Vessel Carries such as Panamax Size.
Due to limited depth (too shallow for big vessel) of the coastal area or existing coal port.

From the mine site, the coal transported by truck to the stockpile at the coal port.
Then shipped by a tug and barge to the Big Vessel waiting in the sea not far from the coastal area.

Some barges even eqquiped with its own stacker, to do self unloading.

RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT

Indonesia is very serious in developing its renewable energy resource.
Located in South Sumatera , the Lumut Balai area known as a big potential for geothermal
Its Lumut Balai Geothermal Power Plant Unit 1 just operated in 2019.

Government of Indonesia just release an international tender project invitation for Lumut Balai expansion Unit 2 development (Cap 2 x 55 MW)

Government has received a loan from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) towards the cost of LUMUT BALAI GEOTHERMAL POWER PLANT PROJECT.

It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the Contract for Engineering Procurement Construction and Commissioning (herein after referred to as EPCC) for the Lumut Balai Unit 2 Geothermal FCRS and Power Plant Project.
The EPCC contract for its 55 MW Unit 2 expansion.

PT. PERTAMINA GEOTHERMAL ENERGY, being the Executing Agency for the Project on behalf of the GOI, now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of design, supply, manufacture, test, deliver, install complete and commissioning, performance testing and remedying any defects therein, of the complete Lumut Balai Unit 2 Geothermal FCRS and Power Plant Project (“the Facilities”).

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with JICA’s Single-Stage Bidding Procedure

OTHER GEOTHERMAL PROJECTS
Apart from working on the Lumut Balai Unit 2 project, in 2020 Pertamina Geothermal Enery (PGE) is also preparing to work on Hulu Lais, Bengkulu Province and geothermal Seulawah, Aceh Province.

For Hulu Lais geothermal, the capacity to be developed is 2 x 55 MW. PGE has succeeded in discovering steam reserves in three production wells. Currently, drilling is still being carried out for injection wells.

PGE only has to make a final investment decision (FID) with PLN because the plant will be managed by PLN, PGE only sells geothermal steam.

Meanwhile, drilling in Seulawah is planned to be carried out by the end of 2020 by drilling three wells in stages.
