The UK’s Only Stand-Up Coaster!

We took our Last Stand on Shockwave! Drayton Mannor has confirmed that this 4 inversion Intamin stand-up coaster will be transformed into a sit-down coaster next season with new trains!
We’re sad to see the stand-up element go, but happy to see Shockwave live on! Thankyou for the memories!

Did you know? 🤔
Shockwave opened in 1994 and is one of the only two stand-up coasters in Europe. It is also the only stand-up roller coaster with a zero-gravity roll ever made!

Intamin Blitz coasters are always amazing to ride!

VelociCoaster features two high-speed launches powered by linear synchronous motors (LSM), a signature 155-foot-tall top hat, four inversions, and a maximum speed of 70 mph! With 4 trains, Orlando’s operations are always top noch!

Soar high into the skies on Flight of the Pterosaur, a mighty and unique 395m suspended dinosaur coaster, which takes family adventurers swooping high and low around the prehistoric landscape with speeds over 30mph!
We’re Seriously impressed with the new style Vekoma lap bars! .rides.manufacturing so much freedom!!
… and also the speed you come into the break run and station is mad! 😂
For us, we reckon it’s the best ride in the park! 🎢🎡

Mack Rides have done a great job in Tornado Springs, with this Spinning family coaster! Dominating the highly themed area area with 64ft of gold track, reaching speeds of 37mph, This great coaster really looks the part and delivers great thrills for families!

Storm Chaser is an exact clone of the Sierra Sidewinder coaster at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California!

💦 Water Rides! 💦

Legoland Winsor has a great selection of Splashtastic water rides and attractions! Hydras Challenge, Viking River Splash, Costguatd HQ, Pirate Falls, Splash Sufari + Drench Towers and Fairytale Brook! Do we count Deep Sea Adventure and Fire Academy too!?

Unfortunately Viking River splash is soon to close! Legoland and Merlin Entertainments have yet to reveal what it is that might replace the attraction,
Could we see it get a re theme or transformation or is Viking River Splash to be removed all together and a new ride takes its place? RMC anyone? 😜

• OLYMPIA/MUNICH LOOPING •

Appearing at Oktoberfest 🥨🍺 in Germany in 1989, This is the largest portable travelling steel rollercoaster in the world!
It travels to many carnivals such as Winter Wonderland in Hyde park, London!

This Coaster gets its nickname ‘Olyimpia’ from the 5 looping inversions! It can also reach speeds of 52 mph!

We can’t wait for it to make its return to London this winter! ❄️🎿⛷️

•PROJECT EXODUS • 🚨 UPDATE! 🚨

More Gold Supports Arrive In Preparation For Going Vertical On UK's Tallest And FASTEST Roller Coaster, Project Exodus At Thorpe Park, Expected 2024!

We also get to see a 3D model of Project Exodus at the Thorpe Park Megastore which will certainly delight guests visiting the park!

New branding has now appeared on the hoarding surrounding the construction site in Old Town which carries the colours of Project Exodus being black, white and gold which looks very impressive.
There are images displayed of the upcoming attraction in gold which contrasts vividly against the black background. On one image you get to see the comparison between Colossus which stands at 98ft and Project Exodus which is set to hit 236ft and reach 81 mph!

We’re certainly looking forward to seeing more construction updates very very soon! 🤩

🚨• RMC & PROJECT HORIZON?! • 🚨
Big news yesterday! On Rollercoaster day 2023, we were given hints of the possibility of a RMC project coming to Alton Towers!

Many have asked, Could this be part of Project Horizon? Alton Towers new indoor Rollercoaster coming soon?
John Bently certainly teased that somthing is on the horizon!

It is worth knowing that over in Silver Dollar City in the USA, RMC is confirmed to be taking a ride called ‘Fire In The Hole’ and making it a first RMC indoor family Rollercoaster! What is very interesting about this, is that the show building is very similar to that of Project Horizon’s!

Of course this is all speculation, Nothing has yet to be confirmed, However! RMC themselves have teased somthing new is coming from them too! A possible Family floorless coaster? Check out for more!

Did Alton Towers just give us our first tease at a RMC Project??!!

John Burton Offically gives us a tease on his latest YouTube video! Answering questions for National Rollercoaster day!

This could mean a UK first and a much loved and wanted rollercoaster for many enthusiastics! RMC is known for making some of the best Rollercoasters in the world including Zardra, Iron Gwazi, Untamed, Wildcats Revenge, and Steel Vengence!

Who knows what’s in store as Alton Towers have Project Horizon in the works!

Could we see an RMC sooner rather than later at the park? 🔥🤯🎢

Was great to see the new Exodus Supports on the brake run from Swarm! Exciting stuff! Plus - Great little challenge Completed today, 3 main Coasters in peak season, all front row rides, all within 1hr of opening! Smashed it!
The big main 3 currently at Thorpe for me has to be Stealth, Inferno and Swarm!

🚨Exciting times! Construction Update!🚨The brand new supports of Thorpe Park’s upcoming record breaking Rollercoaster, Project Exodus, Have now started to get delivered to the park!
Currently the Mack supports, that have made there way from Germany are resting Just behind The Swarm Island!
Ground pins are still being installed on the site of old town, but it won’t be long untill we see these go up!

Poseidon's Fury Has Closed Permanently At Universal's Islands of Adventure, With the success of Nintendo and Super Mario Land, Reportedly Fans Want a ZELDA experience or ride To Replace It! It was announced in mid-April that Poseidon's Fury would permanently close at Universal's Islands of Adventure at the end of the day on May 9, to make way for "exciting new experiences” !

• SPIDER-MAN • The Amazing Advetures Of Spider-Man
This 3D motion simulator and dark ride located at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida is a classic! With other Spider-Man dark rides being built at Disney (W.E.B. Adventure) and the popularity of Spider-Man and •Into/Across The SpiderVerse• Could we see more Spider-Man themed rides in the future? Possibly incorporating Miles Morales?

In This Adventure, Classic Spidey Villains have stolen the Statue of Liberty and it's up to Spidey to save the day. Face a cast of Marvel characters as you soar above the streets, scale skyscrapers and battle bad guys left and right. Just watch out for the 400-foot freefall!

• VELOCICOASTER • Racing alongside a pack of velociraptors on Jurassic World’s Velocicoaster, is such a thrilling experience! Given its 155 ft top hat (with an 80-degree drop, no less), just looking at Velocicoaster strikes fear in some. The ride itself is even more intimidating than it looks – action-packed with multiple launches, a barrel roll, a zero-gravity stall, and so much more, you hardly have a chance to catch your breath as you race through the raptor paddock!

Such an amazing Water Theme Park! The rides here are out of this world and nothing like we’ve experience before! With a spectacular volcano towering over a sun swept beach, to over 15 rides with a blend of slides, lazy rivers and even an aqua coaster! Coming here is a must do experience!

The park's most extreme slides are located inside the volcano. Riders have to trek up 13 flights of stairs to reach them. However it give you a chance to see the spectacular views of the park and the rest of Universal Orlando from the upper reaches of the mountain!

The worlds first 10 looping coaster! Built in 2002, This Itamin multi inversion coaster has recently gone through some re-tracking as has now re opened for the season!
Colossus proudly stands amongst the top ten roller coasters with the most inversions, worldwide!
We love the soundtrack and themeing down in the lost city area of the park!

An indoor Vermona LSM launch coaster that feels like no other! The Paris version of this ride has now been overhauled and changed over to be Avengers Flight Force, However in Orlando Florida this one remains untouched! Riders Race along the darkened freeways of Los Angeles in a super-stretch limo to the rockin' tunes of Aerosmith! We absolutely love this ride and hope that this one will always stay!

• CHEETAH HUNT •
A celebration of the fastest land animal, Tampa Bay’s longest roller coaster quickly raced and weaved its way onto the list of coaster favorites. This triple launch Intamin coaster carries riders high above the park, then races down along the ground through a rocky gorge. At a length of 4,400 feet, it is the park’s longest thrill ride attraction!

Did you know?
The ride opened along with a Cheetah exhibit at the park, and the ride reaches 60mph! … we can’t help but think this is what Rita could be like! 😂

• TOP THRILL 2 • @cedarpoint Cedar Point will replace Top Thrill Dragster with a new record-breaking roller coaster, Top Thrill 2, adding a second 420-foot-tall tower spike, three launches and a top speed of 120 mph! The new ride will debut next year, a remake of a ride that was the world’s tallest and fastest when it debuted in 2003! Cedar Point is partnering with Zamperla to create the new coaster, which will retain Top Thrill’s iconic 420-foot tall hill and add an equally high rear tower that riders will ascend backward. Riders will first launch forward at 74 mph, traveling partway up the original hill, then rolling backward; then they’ll launch backward at 101 mph up the new rear tower set at a 90-degree angle; finally, they’ll launch forward again, at 120 mph, up and over the hill.
