Above-normal temperatures continue through the next five days until a front arrives sometime on Thursday. Daily rounds of sea-breeze showers and thunderstorms can be expected through Wednesday. The front ushers in more widespread rain chances, with locally heavy amounts potentially occurring. There is still some uncertainty on the timing of the front's arrival, however.

The risk of heavy rainfall and flash flooding for Sunday has expanded across most of Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley with the latest WPC update. Isolated to scattered flash flooding will be possible as the storms move through late morning into the afternoon hours on Sunday.
