Due to Storm Bert, the airport has had continuous, heavy snow this morning.
Our snow team is operational and are working hard to keep any disruption to a minimum and we will provide a further update later this morning. Passengers are advised to visit our website for the latest flight information and to contact their airline directly if they have any queries.

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for rain and snow, associated with from 4am tomorrow (Saturday 23 November) through to 9am Sunday 24th November. There is also a yellow weather warning for strong winds valid throughout Saturday too.

Our gritters will be salting all High Pennines priority 1 routes from 4pm, all Low Pennines priority 1 routes from 5pm, and all Central and Coastal priority 1 routes from 8pm today, Sunday 17 November.

Crews will also be on standby for all High Pennines priority 1 routes from 4am and all Low Pennines, Central and Coastal priority 1 routes from 5am tomorrow, Monday 18 November.
