Testing out L'Oréal Telescopic Lift Mascara! I used it a few more times after I shot this video and really like it. The wider brush makes it easier for me to use. The formula is very similar (if not the same) as the original, so it’s also really easy to remove at night. It’s not replacing my two current favorite mascaras, but it’s high on the list!

Have you tried the VI Peel?! I was so nervous to get it done, but I trust dermatologist Dr. Nina Desai. She’s one of the first dermatologists to treat my skin as a woman of color. It’s really important for anyone that has the ability to produce melanin, no matter what skin tone you have because a treatment like this (or lasers) can make hyperpigmentation and melasma worse if you’re not in the right care. Even someone like me with light skin! I loved the results of this first treatment and plan to do it again in January. Have you tried a chemical peel?
Shout-out to my makeup artist Nikki La Rose for teaching me the ways of the powder puff. 🫶 Also, I have a few favorite setting powders, but I’m a Laura Mercier stan, and always come back to it as my tried-and-true (though the one I used in this video is their newer version). Reminder, you can always powder down your sunscreen! I tend to do it around my eyes.
Here’s an easy Naturium skincare routine for your skin treatment journey! I had a chemical peel done a few days ago, and now my skin is in the height of peeling. You can use these products after most skin treatments, but stick with your doctor’s instructions for the first couple of days or run this routine by them.

People constantly ask if they can use micellar water to cleanse their skin at night. Of course you can! I know plenty of people that like to use micellar water as their first cleanse, then go in with a water-based cleanser like a gel or foam. But I personally believe a double cleanse with an oil-based cleanser, followed by a water-based cleanser is superior. It’s nourishing for your skin, it’s quicker, and you avoid any tugging and stretching of your skin.
Someone prove to me they can get a full glam off their face quicker with micellar water and without a lot of tugging and irritation!

Two and a half years ago, I was working on a completely different brand concept, only to find out I would have to pivot due to the pandemic. I turned to Ben for advice because I loved what he was building with and his ideas behind the brands that would soon come to be. Little did I know, just a month later, he would ask me to join him as the founder of his first brand. He told me, “Give it your vision! You have already shaped the brand so much.” And the rest is history.
Our little brand has emerged as one of the fastest growing skincare brands in the nation, and I can’t imagine how I would have done this without the entire team at The Center.
NATURIUM has grown so quickly, we had to branch off from the nest and build our own dedicated team at the beginning of the year. Now I have another incredible team lifting the brand up even more! It has been a wild ride so far and there’s still a lot more to do.

This is MOM LIFE. A lot of the time you guys don’t see that Ayla and/or Nikash is hanging out in the background or just a couple feet away when I try to film videos. There are so many unedited clips in my phone because of it!
I decided to edit this one together to give you an idea. It’s also a cute memory for me to show Ayla some day. I constantly tell people I would dominate social media if I had the time, and I don’t just mean because I have a business to run, but because kids require so much of your attention. Enjoy the quiet time if you don’t have kiddos yet!
And side note, I didn’t love this NYX brow product.
Comparing the Brow Freeze and the Brow Lift. IMO, the Anastasia won this time.
Another note, I prefer the product that’s similar in concept to both of these, so I’ll show that difference in a reel later, but remember, product preference is always so personal! I know lots of people who love the Anastasia Brow Freeze. 👍
Happy 4th of July! We’re officially Miami residents, and between moving, getting sick (of course it happens while we’re packing), and the barrage of terrible news the last few weeks, I really needed a break from Instagram.
This holiday weekend gave me lots of mixed emotions. I have always been a proud American, but there’s no doubt I feel like we’re moving backwards in a lot of ways. The feeling is compounded when I take a step back and look at the world as a whole, and realize it’s all of us.
Either way, I’m still pretty sad about my own country. A place where my mom immigrated to find new freedom and my dad told me I could be anything I want if I work hard for it. It’s ingrained in me to love it here. And overall, I really do.
That’s why today, I acknowledge what we still need to work on, but also want to focus on moments that made me happy.
I’m incredibly grateful for everything I have right now. My family, my business, this beautiful new house we finally purchased. I was also really happy to see Ketanji Brown Jackson sworn into the Supreme Court, which got buried under everything else.
I also hope all of you got to spend time with your family and people you love over the long weekend! After the last few years, we all need it.

Happy Father’s Day to the coolest guy I know. Love my dad! Everyone used to tell me he was in the movie “La Bamba” and I didn’t think it was funny. Just found this picture while packing for our move and thought, “yeah he really did look like Richie Valens’ brother in the movie.” 😂

I woke up this morning feeling exhausted. Tired because my 2-year-old is a bad sleeper and has kept me up every night the last two weeks. Tired because my 5-year-old has been a little sick, so I’ve been tending to him. And tired because it’s just hard to be a parent.
But this evening, I remembered to feel grateful. Both my babies wake up with so much energy and joy. They bring our house to life each morning before they put on their backpacks and go to school. And every day, I get to see their smiling faces when they come back home. Happy and safe as they should be.
I don’t know when our country will wake up and implement stricter gun laws. Families shouldn’t feel worried to send their kids to school. They shouldn’t feel worried to go grocery shopping. They shouldn’t feel worried to go to church.
Pure-hearted, innocent little babies didn’t come home from school today and my heart breaks for the parents who don’t get to hug them or feel the joy they bring with them. This shouldn’t happen and I wonder if this doesn’t cause any change, what actually will?
I’m going to hug my babies a little tighter tonight and I’m going to remember this sinking feeling. I hope we all do and demand change. Our babies deserve it.
I’m so excited for deodorants! I’ve known these were in the works for a long time since I’m friends with , so I opened this box up as soon as it arrived.
These are natural deodorants with such beautiful scents, but the formulas are also amazing. They feel creamy and light, and have salicylic acid to stop body odor (by neutralizing the bacteria that makes you stink in the first place!), while also preventing ingrown hairs and evening your skin tone with exfoliation.

We bought a house!! In Miami!! 😱
I almost can’t believe it considering we spent the last two years (but mostly the past year) looking for a home.
There is so much to share—I have lots of stories and lessons from this process, plus we plan to do a ton of renovations, so if you want to follow all of that, let me know in the comments.
For now, we’re absorbing the fact that we’re home owners again and everything that comes with it, including packing up our current home and moving.

I also want to thank our real estate agents in Los Angeles at The Heather Group. They have helped us buy homes and sell homes over the past decade in Los Angeles, and there’s no one better, especially if you’re on the West Side. I highly highly recommend them for your real estate needs. They make the process so much easier and handle lots of the details that people tell me their agents don’t (even scheduling our inspections!). They went through all the emotions with us this past year as we offered on several homes. I’m so grateful they were there for the advice and to hold our hands. I’m sure we’ll start the process in LA again eventually, but we’re taking a break here for now.
We’re so grateful and excited for this move! Even if the kids look unhappy in the pic. 😂 Nikash is especially excited. Thank you everyone for the encouragement and for sharing your home-buying stories with me.
