While there I fell in love with the beauty of the desert. I also was able to share my pocket hearts with strangers and expand the heart campaign worldwide to the victims of the earthquake in Morocco.

My community is everything❤️

While I was away in Morocco, I was honored with this very special SHERO award from in Guilford.

Through the years, I’ve made it a point to be immersed in my community. I contribute with my time and God-given skills in video storytelling.

I am grateful for living in such a vibrant community of givers.

The is an essential nonprofit that provides free services to families and transition whether it is going through a divorce, struggling with mental health, or leaving an abusive relationship, this heart centered organization has been given to families on the shoreline since 1991.

Thank you to all the volunteers who give their time money and attention to helping people create positive life changes.

Total wind tunnel outside Guilford High School today.

Loved ❤️ meeting with juniors during the career day fair and chatting about a career in video production.

This has been such an incredibly rewarding career for me for almost 3 decades at Headline Productions.

My advice to the many kids who stopped by to ask me questions:

Pursue what lights you up. 💡

The money 💰 will come if you are passionate about what you want to do.

During My parting words, I reminded them to always connect to their heart. ❤️
I gave them a beautiful red pocket heart ❤️

In exchange, they wrote down what the red heart inspired inside of them.

The answers are rolled up on that green poster board ❤️

It was super inspiring to be Thursday to pick up some golden nuggets from accomplished women like Jaime Diglio, who inspired and educated 100 ladies about how to have a Moneyball Mindset (tm).

I also enjoyed the panel. Hearing from like minded creatives reminds me of how much we as women bring to the industry.

My favorite videographer in news was always the marvelous Leona Nascimento, who took the time to compose each shot beautifully.

In the fast-paced news industry, you really didn’t have the luxury to make things pretty but Leona made the time.

Because of her artistry, all of our pieces stood out from all the rest. We were a great team. She cared deeply about her work. Thank you Leona for being YOU😀.
Your instincts were correct. Today, she’s still rocking it, winning many Emmy Awards.

The Tables turned and I was interviewed by recently on her show, “The Richness of …” (Reframing Your Story). Thanks Sylvia.

A while back, I would have taken a big GULP.

You might have even seen red blotches on my chest.

My mouth would have been bone dry.

I’m not saying I don’t get a little revved up when I appear on TV or when I deliver a speech, but I take a different approach.

When I’m calm yet excited, it changes everything. I can relax, and speak freely, and not freak out .

It is liberating.

It didn’t happen overnight. It took a lot of self-talk and mind prep to be able to show up and bring my best self.
