Hello and namaste! We Nepalese are so overwhelmed during festivals and greets each other, being a Nepali rather than which society people belong. So, we want to do a gentle request to all that while whising happy teej, ganesh chaturthi and rishi panchami. Plz do include chaurchan before or after ganesh chaturthiCharchan is festival mostly celebrated in Terai region by madheshi society. This is the festival where we ask wishes with chauthi chand(means the moon which has shined in fourth day after full moon). All the rituals are performed in evening. Here also, females especially mothers do fasting and cook delicious food like khir, puri, tarkari, khir with molasses, curd etc. basically, curd is made within the small clay pot(chhachi) before the festival day by bratalu herself.All the food are cooked twice. One to offer god which is eaten by family member itself after pooja and another for relatives and neighbours. They are invited to see this pooja. And returned with those food either by eating there or by packing.This pooja is celebrated at special position from where moon can be seen. It is believed that we should not see moon with nth. We must have kept some fruits with us in our hand and then pray to moon ask wishes, show gratitude and all.This festival is being passed from generation to generation. This is one of the traditional festival of Madheshi society. This festival is full of positivity, love and blessings. Generally, sasu paased to her buhari after she had baby and ready to do fasting. though, there is no compulsion and anyone who is willing to do this ritual can start doing this festival under some guidance.This is one of the eco-friendly festival in Madhesh society. All the rituals are performed on the banana leaf. And after pooja people also eat on banana leaf. None of the food get wasted as bratalu herself distribute to hwr relatives and neighbours and even if therws some leftover, this doesn't get stale and people can eat tomorrow.
