COLD SPRINGS'S HEAD FOOTBALL COACH RETIRES

With more than 12 years as the head football coach for the Cold Springs Eagles Coach Rodney Elliot announced he was stepping down as the coach.

As the head coach for the Eagles, Elliot has led his team to six post-season games and won sixty games while at Cold Springs.

He currently holds the school records for the most wins in Cold Springs Football history with Tommy Youngblood having the second most wins in school history.

KEEP CULLMAN GREAT SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Last night, 67 hardworking Cullman Countians and proud advocates for education volunteered their personal time to ask the people of Cullman County to support their City and County Schools on March 3rd. Each message sent was done so individually, by a volunteer who has a heart for our School Systems. On top of those 67, there are hundreds of volunteers who are excited about doing something great for their community and when there are volunteers excited like this, that's something we should all get excited about.

Just like in President Trump’s campaign for re-election, technology is being used to communicate with potential voters. The information didn't come from the City nor the County Schools. It is available to all campaigns in Alabama on a public list from the Secretary of State's office.

There are always people who will vote no and always those who want to be left out or left alone, but we see it as our job to support these kids and we wouldn’t be doing it if we didn't speak up and do our best for them and the future children who will call Cullman Schools a place where they come to learn and be welcomed!

IN THE BATTLE OF EAGLES - COLD SPRINGS DEFEATS VINEMONT 7-6

The Cold Springs Eagles made a last minute comeback in the sixth inning against the Vinemont Eagles.

The Cold Springs Eagles started off the game scoring one in the first inning.

In the second inning, the Vinemont Eagles scored three over Cold Springs.

In the third inning, the Cold Springs Eagles scored two more bringing the score 3-3.

In the fourth inning, the Vinemont Eagles scored three more closing out their scoring for the game.

The fifth inning remained scoreless for both teams.

In the sixth inning, the Cold Springs Eagles scored four to end the tie against Vinemont 7-6.

The Vinemont Eagles was unable to score in the seventh ending the game.

Deacon Samples for Vinemont and Brylan Aaron for Cold Springs both had 6 strikeouts.

Hanceville hosted Cold Spring's in this weeks Game of the Week. Cold Spring's Lady Eagle finished strong with a 55-40 win over the Lady Bulldog's.

The Boy's game started off slow in the 1st quarter but quickly picked up pace shortly after. Cold Spring's boy eventually pulled away to knock off the Bulldog's 62-49.

Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams on winning sectionals in Tuscaloosa Thursday. The boys team earned a perfect score placing 1st-6th while the girls team managed to place 5 runners in the top 12(1st, 4th, 9th, 10th, and 12th).

Four area teams and five local individuals qualified for the upcoming state cross country meet with respective sectional crowns last Thursday and Friday.

Cold Springs defeats Vinemont 28-8 in the battle of the Eagles.

All-State members from years past was recognized before the game. Once the game kicked off, Cold Springs scored quickly and never looked back.

Vinemont played their final game of the season while Cold Springs will hit the film room and practice field preparing for Ranburne in the 1st round of the AHSAA Playoffs.
