Your Trail Guide - You pick the destination. I work with you using my creative facilitation tools to plan your experience, navigate unexpected curves, and help everyone on your team make it to the end.

Your Cheerleader - You need someone to encourage, affirm, and energize the room throughout the retreat. I provide tips and tricks for getting your group to the finish line feeling motivated and accomplished.

Hello 2025! 🌟 Open Space Creative started the new year jumping right into the work of empowering mission-driven groups to envision their future!

On January 4th, Anna facilitated a retreat for Belle Fourche Area Community Theater ( ) to kick off their strategic planning process. This is the first time the organization is taking on this endeavor. It was a day of productive sessions and group-strengthening exercises. Happy New Year! 🌟OSC is starting 2025 with facilitating a retreat for .act kicking off their strategic planning process. We are putting the last of the materials together for an energizing and focused day of planning for the future. What a great way to start a new year!

Giving doesn't have to end with ! There are many ways to give and any support you offer makes a difference any time of year. Let's keep on giving!

🫶 Give your time!
Volunteering with an organization can be a big help whether it's for an afternoon, a day, or a long-term project.

🫶 Share your support!
When your favorite organization posts about their programs, fundraisers, and announcements, help spread the word by sharing with your circles.

🫶 Donate items!
Gently used extra toys, extra clothing, extra food, and even extra household items like kitchenware and handy tools can be used by someone else.

Last winter, I enjoyed working with Belle Fourche Area Community Theater as the facilitator for their board retreat! It was a day of big ideas, team building, and goal setting. Anna from OSC had a chat with the amazingly talent artist, Jess Lamworth, as she was passing through South Dakota! ☀️ Originally from Maryland, you might recognize her from the latest season of Making It! Jess is a multidisciplinary artist with experience in painting, illustration, animation, sculpture and food art. We had a chat at the Green Bean Coffeehouse Spearfish and talked about her favorite stops in South Dakota, Making It, the arts, Halloween, and her roadtrip playlist. What is Open Space Creative? Open Space Creative (OSC) is a working art and media studio producing products and services that inspire, entertain, and build community, while also fostering creative minds through collaborative and educational initiatives.

Who is OSC? Anna and Derek are a dynamic, married team with over 15 years of experience in arts, digital marketing, and arts organizing/events. After meeting at a coffee shop in the summer of 2017, they have since been creating and dreaming together.

Anna graduated with a degree in Communication Arts with a minor in Music Composition from Cardinal Stritch University. She has over 7 years of digital arts experience, is an award-winning songwriter/filmmaker, and the co-founder and organizer of Singing Doe, women-in-music event.

Derek graduated with a degree in Animation from the Arts Institute of Denver. He has worked as a digital artist at TDG in Deadwood for over twelve years and as the director of the Belle Fourche High School Theatre program for over ten years. He is now also the executive director of Belle Fourche Area Community Theatre.
