If there's anything that should give you peace, it's this: it's not your job to be perfect. It's simply your job to keep trying to do better everyday.

It's not your business to compare yourself to others, it's your business to focus on you & know that everyone has a path of their own.

The older I get, the more I see how hard I've been on myself for not ALWAYS getting it right! 😩 Yikes, it's so unfair to yourself! Keep working on you & don't give up! Be ok with the fact that there's always room for growth. 🤍T

GIRLLL, give yourself some grace!

Life isn’t always as simple as laying in a pool with a margarita 🍹and flaming hot Cheetos, we all know that! And yet, we still expect ourselves to push through, work harder or get over what’s in front of us. 😩

We have to stop doing that, and start listening to what our heart is saying, which may be, “I need a moment to breathe”, or “I’m going to take a break from work” or, “I’m going to call a friend today.”

I know it’s easier said than done, but you aren’t in it alone! You can lean on me for support and I will lean on you. 👯‍♀️Tag a friend who needs to hear this! 🤍T

Have y'all ever noticed how easy it is to find something wrong with yourself? 😩

Sometimes it feels like it takes more work to think positively and find those things that you love about you. Not sure how to do that? Think about the tiniest things you may enjoy. I like the way I laugh: it's loud, sometimes I snort 😂, and my husband can easily find me in a building 🤦🏽‍♀️ Lowkey, I'm sure other people think it's obnoxious 😝 but it's unique to me, and that's all that matters.

Roomies, I know it’s been a minute!! I’m so sorry 🥺, but sometimes it’s good to go on a mini hiatus to get your mind right and…RESET! You’ve probably been seeing this word around social a lot lately. But it seriously has been in my mind for about a month now.

I won’t lie to y’all. The start of the year I felt great 💪🏾, physically, meantally and emotionally. But as we know, life always manages to distract and disrupt. Somehow along the way I began to get overwhelmed and felt walls starting to cave in on me 😩. My mind was bogged down with too many things to remember, crazy work hours, managing wifedom, lifting up family and friends, and trying to maintain myself somewhere in between.

All that to say, I think I’m ready to reset – meaning to set again or anew. This word reminds me that it’s never too late to start fresh or go back to what you originally intended. There’s nothing wrong with needing a moment to breathe. And it’s not failure to start again. Drop a ❤️ if you’re ready to reset with me. 🤍T

Happy Friday y'all! 🎉

This month has been fun unpacking Superwoman Syndrome 🦸🏽‍♀️ with you, we hope there were some posts that opened your eyes to seeing things in a different light 💡!

Lowkey, I had moments this month that I was doing the exact opposite of the advice that we were dishing out 😣 🤦🏽‍♀️ But I'm a work in progress and I know you're rooting me on while we root you on too!

Let's stay committed to putting down the cape at work, with our families, our churches, etc. You are more than your performance, your strength and what you can do for others. That doesn't define your worth or why you should be loved. You deserve that simply because of who you are and whose you are 🙌🏾.

Look y’all, it’s hard out here!! 😩 And as women, we often feel the pressure to hustle at being the best friend, wife, mother, professional that we can be. 💪🏾

It feels like a weight is always there and you can’t catch a break. And usually to tear down debilitating patterns we’ve lived in, we have to put in even more work. 👀

I promise I’m not trying to put more on your plate! And whenever you need a break from healing, I encourage that. It’s tough to go against what you’ve embodied for most of your life.

But I believe in your healing, one thing at a time. You are just as important as anyone else. So let go of the cape, and I bet you’ll find that you save yourself in the process 🤍T

There's been ALOT happening in every which way in 2020 and 2021. Some days are rougher than others, and I'm finding myself needing just the tiniest bit of sunshine to get me through.

This past month, I've been setting up reminders for myself ahead of time on random days and times, and they seem to pop up in my day right when I need them!

It seems small, but the tiniest things can always make a big difference on how you view yourself and the thoughts that you have. I encourage you to join me in setting up these reminders to be kind to yourself, protect your energy and embrace your feelings. 🤍T

Let's start using our imaginations for the better! Think about where you want to see yourself...is she traveling? ✈️ Is she a mom? 🤰Is she writing a book or sitting on her porch with a cup of coffee enjoying the sunlight? ☀️ Is she working out daily? 🏋️‍♀️ Whatever your best self looks like to you, imagine her! And then, DO IT!

In other words, we need quiet time with ourselves and with God. That means no distractions. Find things that will keep you in a peaceful mindset as you spend that time to feed your soul and check in with yourself.

We get so busy in our worlds that we don't stop daily to be still. It's time to take a step back for our wellness and wholeness. Make the choice to remove the distractions and see what things will be revealed to you in the process. 🤍T

Blogilates has free monthly calendars with workout routines 🏋️ that can be done at your own pace and with no judgment. And Tabitha makes her vegan meals look easy and good 😋 and she's hilarious too! 1. Get some ☀️ outside! If you can’t do that, try a light therapy lamp 💡. Our bodies need light because it’s linked to our mood, energy, focus & more!

2. Woosah & take a deep breath 🧘🏽‍♀‍! Our bodies are used to feeling tense & stressed, it needs a break. Try using breathing apps like Breathwrk that give you exercises to help with energy, sleep & staying calm.

3. Make some home cooked meals 🍲. I know it’s easy to grab food on the go…we’re busy ladies! But your body needs more unprocessed and natural foods to function better than ever. If you don’t have time to cook, try out meal delivery services like HelloFresh or Home Chef. 🤍T

Tierra and I are huge fans and followers of Dr. Anita and I use the “I AM” app daily to remind myself that I am loved, confident and walking into blessings! Happy Sunday Roomies!! This week we are discovering self-love ❤️ in our minds. A lot of us forget, or is unaware, that God cares about our minds. He is our "manufacturer" and knows that we lose most of life's battles in our minds first!

There are so many scriptures that talk about our minds, but today we are highlighting Isaiah 26:3. Here we are reminded that God gives us PERFECT PEACE if we keep our minds on Him and trust in Him. Let's practice that this week and beyond - keeping our minds on God and His goodness so we can experience His Perfect Peace... there's nothing like it 🤍J
