Assam Rifles on 29 Aug 2023, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with local women of Lokra and Jagun Villages of Assam and Bordumsa village of Arunachal Pradesh to express care, respect and service before self. On this auspicious day, local women tied sacred threads (Rakhi) to the personnel of the unit to strengthen the bond between brothers and sisters and also to spread the message of peace and brotherhood in society.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE & EVACUATION BY ASSAM RIFLES
On a distress call by a group of trekkers at 10,000 ft near Bodpathar on the Naranag Trek in Ganderbal District, Jammu and Kashmir, the nearby Assam Rifles camp immediately responded and dispatched a rescue team accompanied by a medical assistant and timely saved the trekkers.
