Y'all! It's been a YEAR, but we made it, didn't we? Season 2 kicks off with the amazing, resilient Sanniel! You'll want to listen closely as he shares his experiences of assimilating into American culture when his family left the D.R. and how this impacted his relationship with himself, his mental health, his q***r, Afro-Latinx identity, and his determination to find healing amidst a lack of shared identities with his therapists. Sanniel talks about the importance of holding folx accountable and being proactive in therapy so that we can experience the love and care that we ALL deserve.

Sanniel's Plugs:
For the Gworls - "We raise 💵 to assist w/ BLACK TRANSGENDER folks’ rent & gender affirmative surgeries."

Just because we’re at a loss for words, doesn’t mean that we aren’t feeling things—intense things. Be patient with yourselves if you’re finding that you’re uncertain what to do, what to say, or where to go to for support. Be patient with yourselves if you aren’t certain with how to voice what’s taking place inside of your body. Be patient with yourselves while your body seeks to cope with what seems like insurmountable anxiety and fear of what the future holds for us. Trust that you’re loved, that you’re cared for, and that you matter to us—your community. 💓

Comparative suffering doesn’t serve you or anyone else. Comparing your hurt, pain, and shame to others only results in minimizing your own suffering. Regardless of your hurt and regardless of your shame, you are deserving of healing.
