DID YOU KNOW: The comedic bit featuring an 'executive producer' character insulting the audience with a cheeky 'f$_& you!' wasn't just a joke? In fact, the bit really was, as the character mentions, added to help earn Student Bodies its R rating.

Color 100 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated R
From Joel Schumacher, the outstanding director of St. Elmo’s Fire, The Lost Boys, Flatliners, Falling Down, The Client, A Time to Kill and Veronica Guerin, comes this action-packed comedy about the misadventures of a group of streetwise cabbies. Washington, D.C. becomes the District of Comedy in this high-speed hit starring Adam Baldwin (My Bodyguard), Mr. T (The A-Team), Gary Busey (Point Break), Irene Cara (Fame) and Bill Maher (House II: The Second Story). When young Albert Hockenberry (Baldwin) wants to become a cabbie, he’s got the wackiest teachers around, courtesy of his uncle Howard (Max Gail, Barney Miller) and the freewheeling D.C. Cab Co., including Samson (Mr. T) and Dell (Busey). Along the way, Albert falls in love with beautiful waitress Claudette (Jill Schoelen, The Stepfather) and gets caught up in a kidnapping, with Mr. T and the other cabbies riding to the rescue. From a raid on a topless club and a game of chicken with an oncoming train to cameo appearances by top stand-up comedians, their hilarious hijinks spell comedy with a “capital” C!

Friday the 13th woohoo! Finally another property that people actually know! I know it's a horror movie that exists both as a kind of rip-off of an older thing and the cornerstone for a bunch of new tropes and twists, but knowing that a movie you have to watch is actually going to be good is such a b...

Fancy comics lad Greg Smith joins the That Podcast Stays Up All Night gang this week to talk some Critters, a movie which is absolutely not a Gremlins ripoff. How could you even think that?
https://thatpodcastproductions.fireside.fm/41

The gang really put on some fancy airs this week as we welcomed special guest Greg Smith to talk about one of his favorite movies; Critters! It's definitely NOT a Gremlins rip off. Greg Smith is one of the co-creators of comic series Junior Braves of the Apocalypse, and we even get a sneak peak and....

To those ThatPodPeople viewers who have missed us the last month. We are not dead. The sound editing laptop got likely stolen from Cody's car. We were hoping it would turn up but because of social distancing Josh and I haven't been able to bully him into looking harder. We are recording via zoom this weekend so expect a show very soon. Thanks for listening!

I mean, I'm not now, but if you'll give me a few minutes, I could put something together. It's Ready to Rumble on Further Adieu!
https://thatpodcastproductions.fireside.fm/27

Cody got sick this week, Ora listened to NPR in his car instead of sharing with friends, and Josh assuredly did devious things on the internet. This week we follow up the last episode where we decided that we'd watch Ready to Rumble and the very end of the episode. Cody loves this movie! Ora and Jos...

In this era of questionable politics, rampant disease, and Sonic movies, the That Podcast crew is here to inform you about the dangers that really matter: bi**os. In our review of the 80s documentary Assault of the Killer Bi**os, we'll give you all the info you need to stay safe from this heinous scourge.

This week on That Podcast; Josh, Cody, and Ora learn that you can judge a book by it's cover. Or rather, you don't need a good movie, just a great title and poster. And that's all that this movie brought to the table this week! But don't you worry listeners, the worse the movie is the longer we'll f...

https://thatpodcastproductions.fireside.fm/25

Cody, Ora, and Josh bring the masks and lyrca suits out once again, but this time with an actual purpose; Wrestling Comics! We talk about wrestling, comics, wrestling comics, and what makes infographic comics work. Listen to this extended episode since we had so much extra source material to talk ab...

This week on That Podcast Stays Up! All Night Ora, Josh, and Cody learn the wise old addage; trust no hoe. Or something like that. It's another s*xy psychological thriller with Snapdragon! The career starting film for Pamela Anderson. Wait, it wasn't--- you think it's the... oh well I guess that mak...

Ora, Josh, and Cody watch a movie with the scariest subject of all: s*x! Joking aside, if you do have questions about coming into adulthood you should definitely not ask any of these three guys. You should listen if you want our hilarious banter and joking about the movie, but if you need real answe...

We at That Podcast Productions are shocked and saddened to tell you that our friend Shane, aka Archie's expert Shane, passed away yesterday.
Shane was a cohost back in the Graphic Novelty days, where he helped shape the TPWND sense of humor, leavening the sometimes-academic tone of Josh and Ora with his pop culture knowledge and his ready wit. He also helped shape the early version of That Podcast Stays Up All Night. Though life circumstances meant that he only cohosted for a finite time, one of the last conversations we had with him was about possible future podcast collaborations. Though it pales in comparison with the loss of Shane as a human being, we deeply regret that we are not able to bring his future involvement to fruition, as we are certain anything he did with us would have been amazing.
Outside of the podcast, Shane was a kind human with a brilliant smile and an incredible knowledge of pop culture. His background in cult and cheese film rivaled that of anyone we've ever met. All of his friends, including us, will miss his enthusiasm and his willingness to help out.
In memory of Shane, we have posted a classic episode that we feel demonstrates what Shane brought to the show. Please forgive the less-adept recording and editing; this was an early one. Also, if you are someone who knew Shane personally, please make sure you are in a good mental place before listening. While we think our friend would want to be remembered in this way, as a source of happiness for listeners, we know he would not want anyone to endanger their own mental state listening.
We also plan to do an episode in memoriam to Dhane, probably reviewing one of his favorite movies. If anyone has a memory of Shane or comment about him that they want shared with our listeners, please contact us here or through email ([email protected]) and let us know.
Goodbye, friend. Whatever happens next, I hope you are at peace and making Robocop jokes to infinity.

On this classic episode featuring Archie's Expert Shane, we talk about Demo, Umbrella Academy, and the Frankfurt school - an obvious combination.

Like, gag me with a spoon! That Podcast Stays Up All Night is doing the Valley-riffic sci-fi horror comedy Night of the Comet, and here I am without my Jordasches. I do have my cheer top, though. I always have my cheer top.
https://thatpodcastproductions.fireside.fm/22

Staying up late for Up All Night this week is easy since we have that bright red comet-y glow everywhere! Pop quiz; are you dust, a zombie, or saved by a paper thin alibi? Ora, Josh, and Cody bask directly in the effervescent glow of what the valley girls of the 80s hath wrought in Night of the Come...

This week, Josh, Ora, and Cody all have dirty dicks. We're talking about the infectious great Black Hole and the persistently itchy The Beauty on That Podcast We'll Never Do.
https://thatpodcastproductions.fireside.fm/21

Getting back on track for the new year Josh, Ora, and Cody read some comics about STIs and deadly consequences. Black Hole by Charles Burns and The Beauty by Jeremy Haun and Jason Hurley. Listen to them agree and disagree, imagine as they attempt to describe pictures on an audio format; it's That Po...

Ora and Cody recorded an episode talking about movies set in 2019. Josh wasn't on it, so he understands if you skip it.
https://thatpodcastproductions.fireside.fm/20

A lot of the movies we watch for this show are movies from a long time ago set in a perception of the future. As a reflection of the year 2019 Ora and Cody watched all of the movies set in 2019! Well, not the movies that came out in 2019, and really just the sci-fi movies set forward in the year 201...

Also, we did a New Years thing where we watched the secretly brilliant Freddy Got Fingered. Seemed like a good way to close 2019.
https://thatpodcastproductions.fireside.fm/19

Happy New Years from all of us at That Podcast Network to you! We celebrated it by watching Tom Green's feature length film, Freddy Got Fingered. You should probably just listen to the episode now instead of scanning the description for clues.

January 2nd - the perfect time to promo our holiday episode! Give me a break, we were visitning family. Silent Night Deadly Night 4 gives you way more than your RDA of Clint Howard on That Podcast Stays Up All Night.
https://thatpodcastproductions.fireside.fm/18

Josh, Ora, and Cody brave the depths of depravity with holiday sequels this week on That Podcast Stays Up! All Night. Trust us, if you didn't have Clint Howard on the brain before you listened to this episode, you definitely will afterwards. Is it a Christmas horror flick about Santa? No! Does it ba...

In this episode, Cody finally gets to pick something to force the other guys to watch; Over the Garden Wall! Of course it had to be a cartoon. Cody and Josh also publicly air out texts and voicemails from Ora as well as get into a heated and friendly discussion over Scott Mcloud's description of com...
