Create your own Everyday English to Advanced English. What does this mean?

Just spot some C1 and C2 level words or structures that you want to add to your active vocabulary and grammar. Most of the time, you can replace them with a basic or intermediate one that you are probably overusing anyway. Write them down and try to replace the basic and intermediate words with advanced ones.

For example, every time you catch yourself saying "important," replace it with "of utmost importance" or with "paramount" or with "of paramount importance."

Listen to audiobooks that use advanced language structures. Some people like listening to good literature, which you certainly can, but the style is usually not the one you want to copy in natural conversation. So I would recommend you to listen to non-fiction instead. However, choose wisely, because most of them are written in a very casual style so as to reach more people. One audiobook that I listened to not that long ago is 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson, and he uses a wide variety of complex grammar and vocabulary.

"Albeit" is considered a C2 level word, and it is quite formal. It essentially means "though" or "although." However, if you look up example sentences, you'll realize that it's actually more restrictive than "though" and "although." We talk about it in today's episode at C2 Proficiency Quest: #3 Albeit, although and though.

Create your own ADVANCED immersion bubble. even if you are surrounded by English 24/7, chances are that, just like in my case, it's not C2 level English. And although we don't want to end up sounding like a know-it-all, we do need extra exposure to certain vocabulary and grammar structures. So my tip number one here is this: follow people on social media who share content aiming to this level.
