In a recent show of solidarity and respect, Arrowhead Game Studios, the developers of Helldivers 2, made a generous donation to charity in honor of the players' recent accomplishments in the game.

Each week, Arrowhead engages the Helldivers 2 community with in-game challenges, known as major orders, which shape the game's overarching narrative. The latest major order posed a significant moral dilemma, challenging players to choose between liberating the planet Marfark to secure the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines stratagem or Liberate the children stuck on Vernen Wells

To the surprise of some, the Helldivers 2 community chose to save the children, despite the lack of substantial in-game rewards. This decision underscored the community's commitment to the greater good.

To honor this commendable choice, Johan Pilestedt, Arrowhead's current CCO and former CEO of Helldivers 2, announced on Twitter that the studio donated $4,311 to Save the Children, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth worldwide. This donation amount mirrors the 4,311 children players rescued within the game.

The community's reaction to Arrowhead's donation was overwhelmingly positive, especially among those who participated in the mission to liberate Vernon Wells. The studio's gesture not only celebrates the players' in-game decision but also makes a real-world impact.

One of the games featured during the recent Summer Game Fest, and one of my most anticipated game for this year is “No More Room in Hell 2”

An Intense Eight player co-op action, horror, survival, extraction, FPS game by
Torn Banner Studios.

Players spawn separately across one huge map, deploying their wits and deadly reflexes to unite & survive against the unstoppable forces of the undead.

Players must communicate and strategize to survive, with danger lurking in every shadow. Carve your path through the horde with combat - or cunning.

Each mission places your character in mortal danger - PERMANENTLY.

Will you risk your character’s life to rescue a squad member? The rewards grow as more squadmates make it out alive, but the threat of permadeath looms large.

This is cooperative play with real consequences.

No More Room in Hell 2 is set to be released for early access this Halloween 2024 for Windows, Linux, and Mac.

During the Xbox Showcase, we got a thrilling reveal: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, an intriguing new turn-based RPG set in a richly detailed fantasy world. The game is being developed by Sandfall Interactive.

In this game, you lead an expedition, racing against time to break an endless cycle of destruction.

The trailer placed a heavy emphasis on the combat system, which looks incredibly polished with eye-catching turn-based action and a sleek user interface that will feel familiar to fans of Persona 5.

It appears you'll be commanding a party of four, each member likely equipped with unique abilities to overcome a variety of challenges throughout your journey.

The game's aesthetic draws heavily from French inspirations, as seen in the trailer's opening moments where the iconic Eiffel Tower lies in ruins. This strong fantasy vibe sets the stage for a narrative that revolves around an evil entity known as the Painter.
This malevolent force repaints the world every year, causing widespread devastation and loss of innocent lives. Your mission is to lead a new expedition to stop this cycle once and for all, succeeding where many others have failed.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is set to launch in 2025 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one as well.

Is Stormgate going to reinvigorate the RTS Genre?

What is Stormgate?
Stormgate is an (RTS) or a real-time strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world.

The game is being developed by Frost Giant Studios, an independent game development studio located in California, founded and composed of former Blizzard developers.

During the recently held PC Gaming show, Frost Giant Studios revealed a new trailer for this upcoming RTS game.

The trailer showed off plenty of intense top-down battles, as well as a fresh look at the Celestial Armada race, which is described as ancient and powerful.

The Celestials are able to build helpful structures across the Stormgate map, giving players “a bunch of options, and a bunch of flexibility” in gameplay.

Early access to Stormgate opens on 30th of July 2024, exclusive for PC.

As part of Summer Game Fest, Black Myth: Wukong is confirmed to be released on August 20 for PC and PS5.

But unfortunately Xbox fans have to wait a while longer.

Fans of the highly anticipated soulslike action RPG, Black Myth: Wukong, will have to wait longer for its release on Xbox Series X|S. Official information from Game Science confirms that the game will not be available on Xbox at launch. Instead, Black Myth: Wukong will debut on PlayStation 5 and PC on August 20.

Players will step into the shoes of The Destined One, a character inspired by the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, from the classic 16th-century Chinese novel, Journey to the West. This tale has inspired numerous adaptations, including the Dragon Ball series and Netflix's 2023 film, The Monkey King.

Despite previous announcements at The Game Awards 2023 indicating an Xbox Series X|S release, the latest trailer revealed at Summer Game Fest conspicuously omits the Xbox logo. The trailer confirms the release date and platforms for PlayStation 5 and PC, while an FAQ on the game's official page clarifies that the Xbox version is still undergoing optimization.

Game Science assures fans that the Xbox version will be released once it meets the company's standards. However, no new release date has been set. The developer promises to announce the Xbox launch date as soon as it is determined.
